Although I liked the prequel, it's disheartening to know that all these girls who say they love the protagonist so much end up leaving him, it was like that with Anna, Lena, Rei, Lea, Jessica...
The fact that all of them left him and then returned to him years later is, to say the least, uncreative, if they love him so much, they wouldn't leave him unless they had no choice.
Anna left him because of something urgent in the family, but she returned to him as soon as she could.
I would love to see a remake of MNM; it’s better than leaving it in limbo, and still have the chance to improve it, for instance, something hard to accept is that this famous and wealthy architect lives in a small house with tiny bedrooms with such a big and close-knit family, it doesn't even have rooms for all the daughters...
It’s not something crucial, but a remake is an opportunity to "fix" details like that.

None of the girls are "leaving" the MC. Anna, for example, was because of her parents, she didn't have a say in this and it happened during MCs childhood. Jessica never left either, but since I dont have her assets she is "on vacation".
Now Rei, Lea, Katharina, Amelie and Jackie... Who says they ever left? With the amnesia of the MC and the situation during the first three chapters, none of the other girls ever got mentioned because the family had more important things to worry about. However, now that the MC has his memories back, there can be multiple ways how these girls can continue to be a part of MCs life. Just because they are not near him doesnt mean they left him or that they arent together anymore.
Regarding the remake: I personally think thats a horrible idea, because like I said in the post on patreon, remaking the characters is something I'll do if it's 100% clear I don't get anything back ( but there is almost a 0% chance that will happen, I will have to get my rendering assets back at least ), but as long as thats not the case I rather work on the next prequel chapter and My New Family 2. Especially since the prequel got so much great feedback already, I don't think it's a bad idea to keep working on it until I can fully return to the main game.
The arguments you provide are not really valid either, for example the tiny house and tiny bedrooms where not all daughters have a room. Sarah moved out pretty early and Lina "gave up" her room when she went to Germany ( and she eventually moved more to Sarah ), Yukiko and Lena will stay with the whole family now so Yukiko will get her own room to ( just like Lina gets her room back ). Sophie, Olivia and Morgan have their own rooms and those three were the only ones living fully in the familys house for recent times.

I won't be a popular opinion, but I totally agree with Killer7 in this. Let's say, Killer7 would recreate the assets. They are similar but still slightly less perfect. Annoying at least or maybe even a dislike for the project because he knows it was way better. And then a chance he might stop developing the game......I hope he won't take the risk.
This game, together with leap of fate is why I am playing these kind of VN games. I becomes emotional and drags you into the story. All you can wish for escaping reality.

Hello there you wonderful and very cute + sexy people!
Another week, another month, another year, another progress update!
All I can say for now is...Wow. I don't think I can put in words how much it means to me that you amazing people gave so much positive feedback on the first chapter of the My New Memories prequel. Trust me, I was more nervous than ever before regarding this release because I wasn't sure if you guys could end up enjoying this game as a "bridge" until I can work full time on the main game again. But you guys blew it out of the park and I'm so extremely happy that you guys loved playing the first chapter so much.
This means that there will be at least a chapter 2 and possibly more, I guess! While my focus is now more shifting towards My New Family 2, I also have a bigger focus on the next prequel chapter - especially with the huge reveal at the end. Todays render shows what happens after that, because as you know, Sabrina and the MC share a special connection and she knew that something happened that send the MC into a turmoil. He's going to have a longer talk with her while Rei is spending some time with Lea, since she cleverly invited her over to her house to check something out. There were so many ways I wanted to go with that reveal and I think I found one that makes the most sense. I can't spoil too much here but I really hope ( again ) that you guys will think the same. Keep in mind that the MC didn't see Anna for quite a long time already and now this happened, while he is head over heels in love with Rei. It's going to be difficult but the MC and Sabrina will come to the same conclusion. And like I said, I hope you guys will think this is the right direction as well!
Now with the big reveal happening at the end of the first prequel chapter, you can probably guess who the first girl of the prequel will be that also appears in the main game. Anna and the MC will have a casual talk about these things and I'm still going to do it in a way that even if you didn't play the prequel, you will know what's up. This is something I'm enjoying so much right now, weaving the prequel characters into the main game so that you can all enjoy them in the future.
I also worked a little bit on My New Family 2 again, but I'm more or less hunting for assets right now. I'm also looking for a person that can import the My New Family 1 house, that is in Honey select 1, to Honey Select 2. Let me know if you know someone!
And I think thats it for now. Sorry that this is a shorter progress update than usual, I'll make sure to keep you guys posted on the other things that are happening. Thank you so much again for the great feedback! Stay awesome!

I almost wish this prequel is an alternate universe as I prefer this batch of girls to the original game. And if we were to introduce these girls to that game the harem would become too large and it becomes yet another collectathon game thus diminishing the story.
It would have been better if the original setup had been that each of the MC's children had a different mother, perhaps with matching hair color. That way the ladies in this prequel *cough*LEA*cough* could easily transition to the main game, and, some of the extraneous girls in the original game could be cut to provide better balance of love interests.
Looking forward to more chapters in this story.

Yeah mostly enjoyable, it felt nice to have a new game, but I thought there were too many girls in MNM, and now if there is going to be half a dozen showing up, it's getting to be too much.
Some how I would have thought after loosing your stuff for over a year now, you would stop with cliffhangers.
