Not necessarily copying from one another but, it could be boiler-plate forms like Terms of Service Agreements and End User License Agreements with various names and some other things changed depending on application.

Honestly, for people who loves playing AVN, who are probably smart enough to know that the "N" of AVN means NOVEL and that's mean reading, well.... they really don't know how to read the first post and a lot of other post talking about that issue.

It's kind of mind blowing.
I realize that both MNM and MNM: The Beginning are POV from the perspective of the MC. However, it would be nice if the pictures that MC sees showing him and other characters would actually show MC's face. A good example would be a family picture of him, mom and sisters in the prequel or his wedding pic with Anna in the main game.

Killer never shows the MC of his games, even in My New Family it doesn't happen, there's a pic with him but it's hidden ( as happen in MNM at a certain point).
I think it's a deliberate choice by him and I don't think he will change it, for now at least.

If you want to scroll back a few years on the Discord, there is the wedding picture from the bedroom without anything covering MC's face available ... but yea, that's a K7 style choice, played for both "emersion" and silliness, very much on purpose.Killer never shows the MC of his games, even in My New Family it doesn't happen, there's a pic with him but it's hidden ( as happen in MNM at a certain point).

I think this procedure makes sense and works. In many other gaming threads people write that the MC looks good, bad, weird, goofy and the like. So it always has a group of supporters and opponents. Yeah, I was more vague for the MNM scene because I didn't want to spoil the exact moment.
And about why Killer don't show the MC, my thoughts about it are pretty similar to what johnpouljones wrote.

Another week, another progress update! Sorry, a little later than usual today!
Let's jump right into the games!
I'm making some good progress on the next prequel Chapter again and I'm still amazed by the fact that so many of you amazing people want more and frequent chapters for it. Really, I didn't expect this when I first started making the prequel, so seeing you guys enjoying it so much is a huge relief. Todays render is Jackie, sitting in the living room and talking to the MC. Of course he had to tell her about the "nuke" that Rei dropped, and she also has some good advice regarding the whole situation. Like I said last week, the MC is not the super confident Man he is in the main game ( or rather, which he will be in the main game again now that he got his memories back ), so he's scared to mess things up with Rei when he mentions what this reveal did to him. Especially since he doesn't know why Anna never mentioned the MC, Sabrina and the others. Maybe talking about it hurt her too much? Or she wanted to let Rei see for herself if she can spot them. It would make sense, right? Anna not being worried that her cousin ends up in the same city, not even mentioning that the love of her life is living there and literally going to the same uni as Rei. There has to be a reason for that and I think with time, we will find out what it is. I can promise you it's not something bad, but it's also the same thing why the MC never mentioned Anna towards Rei ( or towards Amelie later on ).
Okay, let's talk about the main game. I got an idea on a certain site to release a small "snippet" to Chapter 4, let's say, you have a scene with Sabrina alone in her apartment where you talk about this and that, maybe mention the accident and what happened in the hospital... And then they start to talk about something that happened in the past. Between the two of them. Maybe something lewd, even. And then I could transition this scene into part of the prequel, giving you a glimpse of something you might see in Chapter 2. I think you know where I'm going with this. You basically have current Sabrina and the MC having a talk, then they talk about something they did in the past and it intertwines both games. What do you guys think about that? It would be something you will see in Chapter 4 again once it releases, and I won't make it as painful in terms of stuff they talk about regarding Anna. Let's say this would last 10-15 minutes... Would you guys like that? A small refresher with Sabrina and then a transition into the prequel, including a bit of lewdness. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments! I know that Chapter 4 is basically the biggest hype right now, so this would be a very very small snippet of what you can expect there. Like I said, share your thoughts in the comments or send me a DM etc!
And I think that's it for now. Not much to report regarding My New Family 2, I kinda hit a frustrating wall there with character creation again ( I will get over it tonight, don't worry ). Please tell me what you guys think about the idea I posted above! And if anything comes up I'll let you guys know ( I'm still waiting for my lawyer, he should come back to me soon with an update on the case, since he requested an update on the case files in december 2024 ). Until then, stay awesome!

Another week, another progress update!
I'm going to be honest, I did not expect so many different reactions regarding the idea to release a "snippet" of Chapter 4. I guess I didn't really communicate what I meant with it as well, so here is my idea more thought out than it was last week.
My idea was that you basically download this version, load your savegame and then I will tell you (ingame) that you're about to play one event that happens on the first day of Chapter 4, an event that involves Sabrina. Of course they are going to talk about what happened on this day in general ( Anna, the Jessica situation, Karla and the twins arriving ) but they'll also talk a lot about themselves, their first experiences together after what happened with Lea in the prequel etc. This snippet will last around 15 minutes I'd say, you will get some nice refreshing info on what is currently going on in Chapter 4 through dialogues ( I know this can be evil as well since you want to see the full chapter right away ) and you also get to see Sabrina in her "current form" again. During this talk you will get a longer scene that will actually happen in the next prequel Chapter as well - So you basically get two previews in one game, if that makes sense. At the end of this I'll make sure you get redirected to a proper point to save the game and then once Chapter 4 releases, you will start where you are supposed to start. I'm not doing this only to not have my game marked as "abandoned" or anything, I also feel like releasing something like this might put some minds at ease that have been waiting for almost 2 years to see something about the main game again. Today's render is actually part of this event, by the way. What do you think? Is this something you would want to do? This will be a one time event as well, I will never release a snippet like this again and will just provide full chapters to the public ( supporters will still get to play each day of course ).
I also put a decent amount of work into the next prequel chapter and My New Family 2 again. I'm going to be honest with you guys, seeing all the positive feedback after I released the prequel really put my mind at ease by such a huge amount, it's not even funny. I was worried sick that you guys would not like it or think it's a waste of time so I'm super happy that I can continue to provide future chapters. I'm currently not one hundred percent sure if I will release "a lot" of chapters after I can fully work on the main game again, I feel like that is something you guys will decide on your own when you played the next chapter. My New Family 2 on the other hand is going to be an interesting thing on its own. I kinda want to make it so even if you have never played MNF, you can still start with MNF2 if you want. Given the nature of the relationships in the game it can be kinda funny to see people jump into this one right away since usually those games all evolve around the fact that these relationships just started to form. And the release for the first MNF2 chapter might be sooner than you think!
And I think that's it for now. If anything new comes up or if I hear anything regarding my files, I'll let you guys know. Until then, stay awesome!
