Hello there you wholesome people!
Another week, another progress update!
Sorry that I'm still not talkative at all at the moment, things in my personal life have been pretty terrible and they are not getting any better, I'm afraid. This doesn't mean that I'm isolating myself completely though, since work is pretty much the only thing that is getting my mind of these things for now so I'm just working like usual. It's just that I can't really be like I usually am right now because...Well, personal things. That is all I can say and I hope you wonderful people can accept this. I apologize if I sound whiny here or something.
Now, speaking of work. My initial plans for the first day of Chapter II are finally getting more "Hand and feet", as we like to say here in Germany. MC is heading to the hospital to get some answers from Dr. Slatni and,as you can imagine, he is not in a good mood. The doctor will do his best to make him calm down but it won't be an easy task. Getting the call lead to a lot of things, memories coming back that finally made some more connections between the MC and Anna. There is only so much you can tolerate when it's about the love of your life, right? Don't worry though, he is not going to super aggressive. He just wants answers and of course, he wants to know if Anna is safe and what the future plans are now. In this period of time a lot of things will happen. Some more things will be remembered in the hospital and then, of course, it's up to you to decide to fill everyone in on this situation or not. This comes as an addition to the decision you have to make in the morning already. The day will be an emotional rollercoaster I think, but I'll do my best to bring you back safely once the night comes and the day is coming to an end. You know me, I'm not a fan of long going drama. That is all I'm going to say for now. The "good" thing is that this will give the MC some opportunities to learn more about himself again. His family kept saying that he is becoming more of himself again - like he used to be before the memory loss. Your decisions that day will decide if the MC is going to feel the same or if he will feel even more like a stranger.
I can say that all in all, this day is going to be special. Probably one of the more intense days, comperable to the first night in the hotel. Thank god he doesn't have to be alone through all of this...If you don't want him to be.
And I think that's it for this week. I know that being so personal might not always be the right decision, especially when it's not positive things. But I like to be transparent with you guys and I know that my last post was not giving that much clarity, at least in terms of how work is going for My New Memories. So I wanted to update you guys on this. And if things start to impact me more and I need a break, I'll let you guys know ( and I will pause my pledges if that is the case ). Stay awesome, people!

I hope this game won't end for a long time though, and I feel like once Anna wakes up, the game is close to ending, but at the same time I want her to wake up before Christmas.thanks for sharing with us plebs and to K7 I hope things get solved fast and with a happy ending (no .. not that kind of happy ending)

K7 is the best dev I encoutered for VNs.
Seriously for "game with porn" VNs there are only a few that come close.
recreation for example.
For "porn with game" VNs the selection is very, very, very over saturated.
And I like stories that go beyond "which girl do I get to fuck next?"

That's what I noticed too, I like games VNs where the story is the main focus more too, the "porn" just being the cherry on top.
This is a new character I made. Her name is Alba Suarez and she is the nurse that is taking care of Anna most of the time. You will meet her early on in Chapter II. Anna and her know each other from before the accident.

That's what I love about your characters. They are not perfectly modeled dolls but look very true to life. She for instance appears to have a nose that is ever so slightly bent to the right (her view).

i'm thinking when/if the baby is born she'll wake up, which may be mid story/game and the story/game will still continue for a short while afterwards.

TBH I'm not even convinced Anna will be the last girl, let alone only wake up at the end. Even ignoring how much wholesome interaction we'd be missing out on she's the harem's cuckqueen which would traditionally hint that she's gonna be a really important part of seducing the more hesitant girls. It's kinda hard to do that when she can only communicate with her husband telepathically from a coma. What's the MC supposed to do otherwise, tell Sarah it's what her mother would want her to do?

I'm still really confused how or why he saw one of his own memories from a 3rd person perspective, was it just a small mistake that K7 decided to fill in with funny dialogue, just like how he makes characters in MNF actually acknowledge the lack of people, them not moving, the void behind their house, and the black screen transitions, or is there more to it?

So I just got to the point where Lena is introduced and I got to say this has a lot of potential but I feel the mystery stuff is starting to feel more and more dragged out. It's kinda making me feel less into the story. Someone says something that makes MC wonder what they mean about his past and they ALWAYS go "Let's not talk about that right now". Sorry but that just makes me frustrated, it doesn't really make it a mystery it just makes the dialogue weird. Who would ever do that? It's like when you have an annoying sibiling and they go "I know something you don't! haha!" and you want to force them to tell you but this is a VN so you can't. I get the feeling that there's supposed to be this big mystery theme to the game but it just doesn't feel like a mystery if all there is to it is the character dangling the answer right infront of the MC (and the player).
I also think that every single character has said a variation of "How do you remember that?!" when MC remembers something. The dialogue would feel much more natural if not all characters reacted with near exact same phrasing. It's also pretty funny cause I felt like this game felt kinda familiar in the way the MC is a perfect person and how everyone's so happy go lucky (except Jessica). Then I came back here and saw Killer7 also made My New Family and it kinda made sense. If I remember correctly that game also had an outside character like Jessica and if I remember correctly that was the grandmother (and a bit of the aunt) in MNF. The whole twin magic thing also felt very MNF.
I'm sure many will disagree with me here but a story like this should have DRAMA, Jessica is the most interesting character in the story because she's pissed at MC for a reason that we don't know (although I have some suspicions as to why). The other characters are strangely fine with MCs wife being in a coma. Sure they stutter when they speak of her but that's about the emotional reaction they show. Along with the fact that the mystery falls flat I think the lack of drama is another big issue with the story. It all falls into place very easily and while the commonly used plot device of amnesia can be effective I feel like it's wasted because the mystery of his past doesn't feel like mystery and everyone is so fine with it. Causing things to just move along.
I feel like I'm shitting on the game now but I do enjoy it and while I won't review it just yet I feel like it's a strong 3/5 atm. I just wish a VN that's this story heavy and lack near any sexual content would have a more engaging story. The renders are overall splendid and while the dialogue could use some work it's very refreshing to read near perfect english on here. The models used are nice (especially wife, mother and Sabrina) but again, there's near 0 hanky panky so far. I realize now that this is pretty much a review so I'll probably keep this and change it a bit as I progress.
