I guess the game is at a sufficient number of patreons to where the dev decided it's time to go into milk mode. That was an embarrassingly small update given the wait and is a pretty big tell in the direction this is going. Sad.

I still don't know how anyone is surprised in this day of our lord 2024. Not only is the basic and laziest incentive to do wrong there (earn passive income via stalling with barebones updates, engine upgrade/remake/recode/restory/whatever), it is a common result of crowdfunding overall, which has a moon-sized pile of failures, scams, and incompetence between SFW and NSFW with a select handful of games that went anywhere. And frankly, we're talking about games like Divinty Origin Sin, Hollow Knight, etc, that would have gone somewhere anyway. Meanwhile, Subverse is still a joke, for instance, and so utterly beyond their road map the joke's now just sad. A game that earned over a million in funding, lmao, and they still don't have the equivalent of the movies they once made for free.

Even games with 'trustworthy' developers like dystopian project, which actually finished their first game, is rotting at the heart, though I'll admit slowly, as their game has a lot of content. But the patches are slowly growing further apart and thinner in content.

It's that climate that has kept me from ever taking off my pirate hat and is also why I'm here. Figure if they're going to take 10 years to do anything meaningful I can at least enjoy their hobby mistaken as a business pursuit too and only waste time instead of time and money, lol.

Also, friendly reminder that WIldlife makes ~$70k USD a month. That's 840,000 on average a year for something that's a glorified animation gallery with I'll admit pretty good animations, but not a bunch of years each earning nearly a mill good.

If it's anything I've learned from this though, it's that I should blame the folks throwing down money into these games and Star Citizen way more than I should blame the people pedaling promises.

Doing things right takes a lot of time. And when you spend that much time, you need the economic support to be a reasonable endeavour.

As an illustrator i can tell you that on this site the art of this game is AT LEAST top 3 if not the absolute best at the moment. So yeah. Not everything is MILKING MILKING MILKING. Calling everyone a fraud isnt productive, especially the few really, REALLY good artists on this site.

But i guess that most people here just prefers an endless stream of steadly updated garbage.

The reason so many people say this is because they are jaded of this happening over and over again with almost next to everything, and they are not wrong, many creators abuse this. Now dont get me wrong im not saying that Cyan is milking his fanbase, im pretty sure he cares about his work which the gorgeous art proves, hell he even goes back sometime and redoes art because its not up his "quality" standards. Its just the updates are slow, several months of wait for each update is a long time and people get tired, especially when you wait 10 months and there is nothing of porn value in sight, its supposed to be a porn game in the first place, theres no deep story or gameplay, its supposed to be porn. And i do believe Cyan just got too deep into this, trying to deliver a story somewhat while also making it porn, losing track of things.

I honestly would prefer to if he made a long ass comic over this game, there would be much more content and everybody would be happier or at least i think so.

Either way i do agree that the last few updates have been lacking, first we get a bikini one where nothing happens, after that a fight scene with guys and a few pages of a titjob/blowjob and now this.

I also agree with an earlier statement that the story lacks direction now. That could be part of the problem. When you don't know where the hell you're going it's hard to be productive.

Common problem. Wifey starts and stops an endless string of TV series, as she finds they have a good idea to start it off, but when the initial idea is spent it just drops off the ledge.

Kinda disappointed in the direction of this game. First 4 updates were fucking good and came out relatively fast. Then the fifth update (beach part 1) took ages and there weren't even any sex scenes.
Sixth update (beach part 2) felt like a filler episode (focused too much on that fighting pit story) and only had 1 blowjob scene at the end...
And now seventh one is apparently focused on that blacksmith chick and is mainly femdom stuff? (which is basically opposite of what I liked about this game which was maledom scenes with Emelie)

I only first downloaded this game the .6 version. There were several good scenes, straight to the point with great chubby / anal / maledom content.

But yeah this update seems like a joke. Femdom is - considering that the game clearly appealed to maledom fans - disgusting to implement and can only antagonize the fanbase.

And considering the previous content, there should at least have been an option to actually take control and fuck Bronwen. Instead just cumming on the tits and ending the scene was embarassing.

Guess we'll talk again in 6-12 months when the next update goes live...

First of all, patreon is a support system, and many people here don't seem to understand that. You give money to the creator to support him because you like what he does, you shouldn't expect something in return if it's not advertised that you will get something in return. In CyanCapsule's patreon there isn't any adverstising about "Pay 7$ per month to get monthly updates on My Pig Princess" so you shouldn't expect that for starters.

If you are a paid patreon and feel like 7-8 month for this kind of content is a scam, then voice your complain to the creator directly, unpledge and done... And tbf atleast something new came out, big games like Summertime Saga have a bigger team, made over $2.1mil, and didn't get an update in 2 years. Same story for What a Legend and many more... So it could be worse.

I really dislike the mentality of this sub who want content every 4 seconds to feed their tiktok brains, otherwise they complain and cry that X is lazy and makes too much money for what he/she does.

I see the defence force is out to keep away any criticism "it's free they cry" due to a para-social relationship with the content provider.

We are to discuss the product, the dev is a stranger to you, you are a stranger to them unless it's a dev with a smurf account. If people feel like the product is slowing down I am glad people are pointing it out so I and others know to avoid it.

We do not benefit in making it easier for people with the Milfy City mindset/Summertime Saga mindset. Reward devs who deliver the product.
