Maybe i'm just not understanding how to do things. My first quest if go shopping with mom on Saturday, how do I start this quest? All I get when I talk is her is asking her questions???

I really want to like this game because it seems like there might be a lot to do, but honestly I have no idea what I am doing in it, other than napping and trying to see where people are. The time in quests seems to be permanently stuck on Saturday, no idea how to start the first quest, and the interactions are a bit annoying.

Also when I go to speak to people the names are all the same, and then when I change to speak to someone else it's the names from the previous people. It's all very confusing.

I like the concept of the game and it has promise but it either has very little content right now or I'm missing something. I know according to devlog he did a major rework supposedly. I've only seen the one day at school, Orientation Day. I don't know if that's right.

Also there is either a bug or what seems more possible some pointers that a wrong. During conversations the proper character labels don't show up. You can be in the parents bedroom for example and both characters list "Talk to Robert" even though one is Mom and one is Dad. This is with alot of the characters.

Currently it seems the only skill points you can earn are strength and endurance?

Anyone let me know if they are seeing the same thing as me.

Thank you for pointing out the issues! I’ve corrected the interaction button labels to their proper names.
I also noticed a problem with starting scenes involving the NPCs Catherina, Jessica, and Justin - those have now been fixed as well.

I’ve attached a ZIP archive containing the fixed HTML file. After extracting it, simply replace your current game file with the updated HTML.

Please note that this version may still contain issues related to the map and the quest log's schedule display. These are already addressed in version [0.1.1], so for now, please ignore them.

Content currently available
  • 1 short bedroom scene with Olivia
  • 2 scenes with Jessica
  • 1 scene with Justin
  • 1 scene with Catharine
  • 2 main events: Saturday Mall Shopping and Orientation Day
To access each scene, make sure you’re in the right location at the right time, details are listed in the Questlog.
The upcoming patch will focus on quests: roughly a dozen new scenes/tasks are planned.
The attribute system and perk tree are still half-baked right now, but you’ll get a lot more ways to level up once that update [0.1.1] drops.

If anyone comes across any other major bugs, I’d really appreciate it if you could let me know!

It's very confusing though, the game shouldn't start on a Saturday if the first quest is go shopping with her on Saturday, there's nothing about waiting till next saturday, so you get frustrated right off the bat.

Also if you go the mall and spend all your money and you only have like 1 energy, there is no way to get back home. So the game effectively stops, you're stuck at the mall.

The project mightve been released a bit to early becasue frankly speaking there is absolutely nothing beside proof of concept-- and ho boy, this feels like it can or is an easy scope creep. It has potential but already is a reaaally amibitious project.

I am dissapointed that 0.1.0 doesnt have any of the limited npcs say anything about you walking around butt naked. Oh hey olivia just checking on ya in my birthday suit, hope you dont mind, lol.

Will keep an eye on this river to see if it dries up or floods with waste.

The concept and the screenshots got me to give this a go, but I can't help but feel like the game is getting in the way of itself, and I'm not even past the first dialogue.

THREE(!) warning/consent things WITH check boxes before you can even start... really? At the very least, get rid of the check boxes and treat the accept button as the OK.

No, just...no. Please get rid of the fabricated delay when talking to NPC's, or at least add the option to disable it. It's not a phone game, and even if it was, it's annoying as hell. Just look in any phone game that has it.. or any renpy game that doesn't let you set the text speed to instant, don't waste my time with fake 'thinking' delays.

It's also be REALLY nice if you didn't block the back button during conversations, but I genuinely don't know how that affects your 'all conversations are widgets' dialogue setup. That said, if it just reset the whole dialogue, I'd be okay with that since that's what refreshing the page already does.

EDIT: I'm also not a fan of cropping the video to fit neatly in your interface. The video is the more important bit, just let the video shrink to fit. (I did this myself by deleting the 'height: 100%' line, and it both looks fine and fits better on more resolutions and browser layouts.) Try not to let your fancy UI get in the way of usability.

EDIT2: The options don't seem to save. They're constantly resetting back to the default. I'm also not sure if they do anything either. Does 'enable animations' refer to the UI animations, the video animations, or both?

The Skill Tree looks like it's going to be a nightmare to use and navigate. Everything is either zoomed out and tiny, or zoomed in and needs lots of scrolling around. Also needing to hover over every icon to see what it actually is, gets old really fast. If you continue using this spiderweb of icons, then at least put the main skill groups (strength, agility etc. ) down the side to free up more, much needed vertical space.
Personally I'd prefer a list view. I find them much more readable and usable.
EDIT6: It just occurred to me that you could split the difference and keep the connectivity of the Spiderweb and gain the legibility (and room for things like words) of a List, by using a Family Tree style layout.

EDIT3: I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing now. Other than waiting until Saturday (it's already Saturday though?) to go shopping, the dialogue can infer that I need to use the upstairs shower since [older female roommate] is using the downstairs one. Trying to use the upstairs bathroom results in [male roommate] saying they just finished up and it's all mine.. then all I can do is have an awkward conversation with him and leave. Do I need to shower? Have breakfast? Explore the house? Talk to everyone? Some early game guidance is desperately needed.

No autoplay on videos? Not muted by default? Maybe add in options specifically for video to enable/disable these things, since the audio options currently in Options doesn't seem to do anything with them.

EDIT4: The travel map could do with some work. If I'm in my bedroom and I want to go to the Garden, I have to click Travel > Downstairs > Travel > Backyard > Travel > Garden. Why not just leave the Travel Map open and let me close it when I get to where I want to be?

The 'sleep screen' looks fancy and all, but it's going to drive me nuts having to wait for it finish every single time. Just put 'Continue' button up straight away, over the fancy fading in and out words thing. This will let impatient twits like myself continue ASAP, while letting others wait until the animation thing is finished if they want to.

You can't import a save from the 'Load' screen on the main menu.

OMG... so many mechanics over other mechanics and a skill tree that is so big that scares me about future development. Story is nice idea to have pseudo multiple choice and progress but it needs better hint system. As for the GUI 10/10.

I think I may be missing something, how do you trigger quests? I have one to meet Jessica in the Kitchen. I'm in the kitchen with Jessica, and... nothing? I can ask her questions, but all of the options are greyed out, and nothing appears questy anyway.

The Ai used in this game is amazing, I couldn't tell what was or wasn't. Another big Plus for the feet content. Looking forward to future updates :oops:

I am excited for the future updates. Yes there are definitely flaws that others have pointed out, but I can see that if you work on it, and truly have passion for this game, it can be one of the best ever. Skill tree is a very unique thing to add and I believe that could make the game extraordinary. Awesome stuff!!
