Ren'Py - Mythic Manor [v0.22] [Jikei]

Sigh, i really wanted to like this game, but it's just too boring.
There is no progress or development anywhere in this game, no plot either, no gameplay, just nothing.

1. That's the whole gameplay:
-find a girl
-you get a scene/wrong time, find her in the next time block
2. Characters are total sluts from the beggining, i wouldn't mind it if not the fact that it takes away all the progression from the game.
3. There is no plot in any shape or form, not even an illusion of it.
4. YOUR CHOICES ARE COMPLETLY MEANINGLESS, they just slightly extend a scene.

MC is painfully retarded and dosn't have his own will so you need to wait until a girl literally jumps on him for anything to happen.
First 15-20 levels of affection are a filler, where you are told that the girl (it is basically the same for all of them) is a nympho but she is shy/she is your mom friend/she is inexperienced/some other excuse so she wont fuck with you on day 1.
After level 15-20:
Girl:"I'm shy/inexperienced/other excuse"
MC:"Don't be /it doesn't bother me"
Girl:"OMG i love you lets fuck"

On the possitive side, the renders are good i guess?

Edit: A year later there is a negative change and two positive positive changes:
Negative - now there are 30 levels of affection, as before we had "i love you, fuck me" at level 20, the next 10 levels is just fucking around with nothing major happening. We get some background info about girls and that's all.
Positive #1 - we get 10 more levels of fucking around and some background info about girls
Positive #2 - side girls have some events now, their stories so far are short, but more interesting - basic premise is the same though, girls are sluts and act as if MC is the only man that visited this town in last 5 years, but are afraid that MC doesn't like sluts, meanwhile MC is too passive to make any move at all.

Very good game, it has a lot of different girls with different personalities. Each route is pretty fun to go through, but it is almost impossible to complete without using a walkthrough. Some of the events for each girl is a bit convoluted to do. It would also be pretty cool if in the completed game that a gallery is added.

+ Good variety of characters
+ Good amount of content

- Very linear
- No real incentive for exploration other than finding that one girl you currently have to meet at a different spot
- From most what I've seen, rather vanilla. Don't take my word for it tho.
- MC leveling feels irrelevant for the most part
- Decisions are irrelevant from what I've seen.

While most points listed are negative, it is a decent game tho.
However, for the most part it plays like a linear visual novel without too much story branching, which I find rather boring.

If you don't care about that aspect, the game is worth your time.

Gameplay : 5/5 sandbox mode. Can go back if you scroll. You trigger event when you solve the quest. Need points and money to progress.
Story : 5/5 funny storyline.
Girls : 5/5 specially Velle !
Graphics : 3/5 lot of animations, but kind of bad compared to what we can see today. The only down side.

Wonderful storytelling.
Easy to fall in love with the characters. They are really well written and fleshed out. Beautiful character designs. Esther is probably the sexiest character I have seen in these types of games.
Lots of choices to make. Lots of avenues to go down.

Not sure why I hadn't reviewed this yet, been following this game since it's initial release...anyway, here goes.

pros:

- great visuals
- character development is strong, and emotions are played on pretty well
- stories are rather linear, but nonetheless stimulating
- no ntr
- if you like harem games, this might be good for you

cons:

- some bugs (very minor)
- some stuff still incomplete (as of 0.9) so it's rather strange
- not many options for diversification of routes (for protagonist)

verdict: great game, play it, don't just take it from me

What can i say, this game is awesome interacting with the characters, the character designs and the story are in my opinion really fun i always say to myself that it would be great if this was the full game but i understand it takes time and money to make games that is a fact. My question to you people reading this review is, have you played it yet and did you enjoy it. instead of reading this review why don't you make your own opinion of the game

Cool game. The lack of content is obvious and there aren't a lot of things to interact with. Hope they keep adding content, this one has a bright future ahead if the developers do that. Otherwise, you may just skipit for now.

Terrific Characters, Awesome Animations. It catched me right from the beginning. There are so many different personlaties and I like them all in a different way. The areas under development are very promising

Review of version 0.8

Simply one of the best harem games that I've played to date. I love this game!

The characters are distinct and unique. Each one has her own endearing quirks and proclivities. The progression timelines with each character make sense.

The story is great. It's light-hearted and enjoyable and has no grimdark bullshit that plagues so many VNs. It's nice to finish a game and have a warm feeling afterwards (no, that wasn't a fap/cum reference... although there has been plenty of that with this game!) The seductions are a slow-burn and are tremendously satisfying when achieved. The integration of the animal mythic qualities to the characters gives the game a unique feel, especially considering how the mythic abilities are blended into the overall story.

The models and renders are beautiful. Just truly gorgeous. They have to be among the best of any game on F95.

The sex scenes/animations are top-notch. Great variety of positions, great length, and great dirty talking.

I could go on and on about how great this game is, but I'd be wasting your time having you read it when you could be playing this game and finding out for yourself.

Highest recommendation!

A unique take on harem genre. Characters, renders and scenes are superb. Unfortunately there isn't much lore explanation or story progression based on exploring MC's involvement as half-breed, but maybe its in a pipeworks.

Game was good at start but recent updates made it boring and leaves the impression of lazy work. Probably wont bother until it reaches 1.0 version cause right now game is only good if you never played it before. Otherwise just skip it

Love it,girls are all cute, although Fanora sometimes looks like a doll,but that's not a bad thing really, animation sometimes is delayed but it's always worth the wait,looking forward to more updates,thanks for your work.

Literally one of the best games I played.
I'm in love with all of the characters. And it's so addicting. You may get stuck in some parts but the walk through is easy and simple. I can't believe I haven't found this game sooner. I hope there's more future updates because man... it's so good.

Couldn't really enjoy the game without the walk-through, but I love it. Nefari is my favorite. Not sure what strength is for, but the option to kill time is nice. Reminder to save right before you think a sex scene is coming to revisit it.

The setting has interesting mythical-fantasy elements in additional to sexual-fantasy elements, scenes are plentiful, dialogue is amusing and not excessive, characters attractive, animations are good (in later content), and eroticism is high.

This is particularly satisfying as a bit of a departure from some of the darker or more complex themes that are prevalent in other popular projects, the setting and theme are bright and positive without heavy emphasis on more challenging dramatic elements (e.g. rape, incest, netorare...).

I am by no means suggesting what elements are better than others but that the *ahem* feel-good atmosphere game is a satisfying example of its type and I look forward to this project's continued development.

Pretty good game with awesome characers. Everybody can find something for themselves, the content coming with every update is satisfying, although it keeps leaving you for wanting more. Good quality game.

If only we could get some professional voice acting for the dialogues, now that'd be something.

And yes the game is linear, but there is almost no grinding which is great.

Great game funny and have a good gameplay system. This game is not perfect but it still be agood game to play. The Models is good and gameplay is funny to spent time to play with. Looking forward for the full version, it must be really good game.

Distinct characters with different interactions with each one. Good progression with a decent hint screen (though could be slightly more clear in certain instances). Lots of good nudity and sex scenes.

Well... Its not a bad game, nicely written, lovely art but a LOT of stuff is still under development which is understandable but kinda sucks when you see "you've reached the current highest level for this character" with any girl in the game or seeing 60% of the map with the description "under developement" and not accessable... Also I kinda hate the stuff when you need to reach a certain level with one girl to open up a scenes for another girl, like the pee scene in the elevator for which you need level 14 with the BDSM girl (Velle?)and the "shy" girl. I didnt care about Velle, im not into a BDSM but I'd really love to see the scene with the shy girl, especially annoying when you don even have a clue that something like that is possible without reading walkthrough....on a good side, features like watching "live" webcam streams on the internet or installing a cameras in other rooms / watching the footage are very welcome so, avarage game for me. deffinitely playable and enjoyable but nothing special.
