I don't speak the language, although I wish I could. I have many albums of bagpipe music, including more modern "Celtic Rock" ;)
The best haggis I've ever had was on a visit to Scotland. There is, or was a little "chip shop" where you could get damn near anything battered and fried (including pizza and candybars). They had deep fried haggis on a stick. A sausage skin of haggis, stuck on a stick then battered and deep fried. Like a Scottish corny dog. There's nothing like taking a food that will kill your heart anyway then deep frying it. Slap some HP sauce on that - Wooooo Buddy!
:)

I'm sorry about the typo, I meant "sweet".

If you want to learn Gaelic you can. You could start with Duolingo, study a few books to go farther and then practice with Gaelic speakers of Nova Scotia (it's closer to your place than Scotland).

Oidhche mhath leibh 's beannachd leibh.

Oh yeah tried it, it's veeeery strong to put it mildly, but I liked it.
It's similar to our "Casu Marzu" or "Casu Frazzigu" ( the name is different depending on what part of Sardinia is made) it's rotten cheese, we prepare it putting inside dairy fly larvae that tranform the cheese in a cream, it's a very good and famous culinary specialty of my country. :) (y)

Just tried this. This has some damn fine writing in it: unusally well crafted story telling overall. Way too tame/vanilla for me from a sexual perspective, on account of me being a total perv, but if I forget that it's supposed to be a porn VN and approach it more as an interactive whodunnit, then it's fabulous. Keep up the good work dev.

Have heard about it, and have wanted to try it and will whenever I go to Sardinia:)(don't think I can get it here).
As a sidenote, I have always tought that this cheese was a corsican one.

Just started playing, and I gotta say. I love that the Dev took the time to make B have a nickname for every letter of the alphabet for the MC. I'm playing as the guy, of course, and I tried both my first and middle name. Even tried Quinn. And it had a nickname for all three. Funny! Hope she keeps up the great work.

If I tell Tera that I only see her as a friend is that forever? I like more of a slow burn and her coming out of nowhere right from the get go isn't really my thing. I didn't see an option to just tell her I'd think about it, just a yes or no situation.
It is currently a permanent choice once made. Book One is only going to be 5 Chapters (maybe 6) and is focused heavily on the murder mystery aspect, so there's not really much space for a slow-burn sort of romantic buildup.

Thank you! And yes, it's pretty vanilla sexually, but Lorgar is correct when they say:

Book One is really a supernatural murder mystery comedy that has some sex scenes thrown in for people who wanted that extra little bit of incentive. It was originally written to have an asexual main character; I just adjusted that a bit to lure more readers in.

:D Thank you! B even has a few other nicknames that are more hidden than the 26 alphabet-based ones, too!

That's a shame. From what I've played so far the relationships seem a little rigid. It's either flirt and such, jump to sex immediately, or be locked out of them permanently based off of one choice. Like with Rain, from what I've seen if you don't sleep with her she says "we won't be working like that". They all seem to be now or never and I can't say I really care for that.

Considering it's only a short VN there isn't enough time to slow burn it.

To be fair though, Tara has had a thing for the MC for years, Rain only sleeps with her for a ritual and both B and Sophie are hundreds of years old and want some fuckety fuck. Mara just has the horn.

Considering Kylie has known Sophie and Tara since she was a teen, Tara had a thing for her before she even got with Lisa and Soph has been trying to get i them panties since Lisa's death.

So is book one just going to be a separate story to the others, if they are planned? I'm just saying so far the relationships, or lack there of, just feel like a tacked on reason to add lewd content. I'm seeing now that it's going to be short but at least for Tera you have a second option to become her GF or not at the second meeting with her but it's somehow not possible to add another starting point to her path. I guess they don't feel like "relationships" at all to me, just throw away lewd scenes. Maybe it's just me.

It also says that there will be different ways to solve the mystery as you play but everything I've seen so far plays out in one way. There's no two ways about anything so far, aside from how much info you want to share with someone. Aside from finding the message on the back of the sticky note. I'm only up to the lunch with Mara but so far it's been completely linear.

They are going to be different stories. I believe Nine said they will be different characters too so they have 5 episodes to get it on.

I guess they don't feel like "relationships" at all to me,
Probably because they aren't the focus.

These are based on books Nine wrote and in those the Kylie was asexual and not interested in sex with anyone so it's been adapted for the adult audience.

The main focus is on what happened to Lisa and the lore of the world, relationships are there for those interested but there isn't enough time to make a grand romance.

It also says that there will be different ways to solve the mystery as you play but everything I've seen so far plays out in one way. Investigation mode is a thing where you hunt for clues based on what has been said. It's been made easier with clues now having a highlight but solving it won't come into play until it's time.

Like has been said, these are only short so having grand in depth branching paths just isn't possible. Whether you engage in the sexual side or not is up to you but solving the murder will be up to what you learn while playing.

You seem to be looking for a longer, slow burn romance story with routes to follow but this is a short murder mystery with the plot as the focus.

I'm not going to be one of those "if you don't like it don't play it" idiots because it's never black and white like that. Some people will always dislike something but enjoy it overall however things regarding the relationships aren't going to change so that side of the game is going to be a take it or leave it.

Nothing we say is going to make to the game longer in order to stetch out the relationships but, to speak for myself, I hate slow burn games. I have never seen the point in constant teasing and prolonging what we know is going to happen and anyone who says it's "realistic" has obviously never been on the dating scene. I'm grateful I get to see pussy and eat pussy. Hate it when i'm made to wait for my meal.

It's usually what I go for myself. I'm a romantic fucker so it's one of the things I look for in these things.

Who doesn't like to eat pussy? I'm on the other side of the fence though. If All I wanted was to just see sex I'd watch porn. It's all about the build up or otherwise it's just not as rewarding. But like I said, it seems like the sex is just tacked on, probably not even needed for this game. It's pretty clear now that it's mainly about the murder and the lewds are... just there. It's a good story but maybe it would be better as just that.

Nine of Swords your were one of my favorite indie game developer, even my favorite.
But then, you wrote that:
I had camembert for the first time a few months ago... I am not a fan.
It is said that one day, we must finally knock down our idols.
I think that this day has come.
So, I will print a poster of your avatar and then burn it!

There are cheeses with maggot in Corsica too.
It's even said that the cheese isn't ready to be eaten until it's able to move on its own :)
Not all Corsican cheeses are inhabited, but they tend to be strong, even for the French people...

Well if someday you will be able to come here visiting just let me know and I will offer you a proper culinary tour here. ;)
Yep it's made there too and also there's a similar product in the Basque country, there are some historical researchers that are studying it's origin, and found that probably there were something in common since the two islands were inhabited before the series of invasion from different mediterranean countries and probably our ancestors, the Shardana, were present in Corsica as well.:)

Yep we have a similar said here, and yes it's a limited production the cheese have a very strong aroma and flavor it's not for everyone to eat it, but it helped me to appreciate other products like the one LorgarAurelian quoted, while having different ingredients they are very strong indeed but once you go past the first impact they are very good. :)

Okay. So. I recognize some of the other games that are referenced, but not all of them. I saw a poster at the beginning for Come Home. And I recognize the one on the computer when B is sitting at it, even though I can't think of it's name. What other games are there? If I haven't played them, I might like to try them.

How does this game handle male and female MC?
MC mostly off-screen and scenes, where MC is visible, rendered for both genders?
Most of the game is first person, but the sex scenes and some of the plot-important conversations will show your character. If you've played Bad Memories it's handled in a similar way.

The one on the computer with B is Intertwined. Off the top of my head, I reference Bare Witness, Harem Highlander (sadly abandoned), My New Family, and Sylphine (marked as abandoned here on F95, though I don't think it is). There's also ton of them in a hidden scene in Chapter Three (finding them unlocks "The Stinger" achievement). I'm probably forgetting a lot.
