Did you first see her in the church? If so, then yes, you missed the first encounter somehow. The first time you can meet her is the confrontation at the top of the village area where she attacks you if you enter the cave while in normal state (if you had the Fragment of Truth active she will just be standing beside the beds and not notice you). Considering the difficulty curve of the area to the east of the village, you were ideally meant to proceed north of the village to progress the story and you'd encounter her in the cave at progress 0 and get the first boss fight with her. If you cause Progress to increase (i.e. fight any other Boss) before you meet her in the Cave, she will already have moved and considering the NPC nature of characters, her later appearances assume you met her since that was the correct route of events that should have been taken. The Fragment of Truth can easily cause sequence breaks in events, and that is intentional.
thanks you for this long explanation I'll try to use the fragment then to test different things ^^

You have to stop the time in the Orphanage before you go to them.

What is the password for the Orphanage because the one mentioned is to long.

Where do you find Raid because I only found two places.

So how does resistance works in this game? Is higher or lower res better?
Some items, like Ferning's Dream, increase total res even though their description says -x% (-5% in Ferning's case, but it's actually +5%). That's why it's confusing me.

I believe resistance on the character Status screen shows the damage multiplier. -5% means you take 5% more damage, so the stat would show 105% because you take 105% damage from the element.

Then why Bradur's Shield which says +10% Cor.Res, does as it says and increases it by 10%?

Yep that one's an error, oops haha. It will get fixed once the game gets updated in the future.

Oh, and yeah, the resistances work just like the guy that replied to you said.

I have obtained these items on NG (not NG+). I'm also still on zero flags, since the two "bosses" I've completed aren't flagged like the others. I'm still hunting for other unique enemies like this.
This game is very reasonable to SL1 at any difficulty because of cheese; the game was clearly designed with an understanding of BSII's combat and its highlights/pitfalls but it inadvertently steps into at least two really big ones. Maybe a few bosses will have clever ways to bypass the cheese but I haven't run into any yet.
I haven't solved achieving the alternate endings/true ending in a single cycle, and I don't think it's possible because the other big bosses are behind flags that do trigger. This should reduce the minimum number to two cycles from the guide's proposed three cycles though.

Hi there, I wrote the guide. The progression level is the same as in Black Souls. There are unlit torches in the Gwirionedd Orphanage that light up, one for each boss you defeat. As for the grinding, it's not really necessary in this game. If you find yourself in a spot where you can't beat something just go elsewhere. If you really DO want to grind though, I think level 300 should be enough for everything if you're playing at difficulty level 0.
okay thankss

I'm mainly sharing these things for people experienced with exploration RPGs, challenge runs, and speedrunners. N.P.C. Dreams has very little English-language exposure regarding intricacies or missable novelties. For example, what enemies drop gear and which ones just drop stat items?

That's what I've been able to identify so far. Of these, only the Dream might be worth getting if you're in a hurry. If you're trying to explore the game, the weapons are interesting.

These kinds of games are very good for speedrunning, well beyond normal RPGs (AKA let's plays pretending to be speedruns). Good pathing and deep understanding of item/skill interactions can be all that is required to beat the games, even if you don't have good sequence breaks. There are a decent number of RTAs for BS/BSII on NND and at least Karura has uploaded one to Youtube for example (spoilers if you haven't played it):

Under 1 hour should be possible for N.P.C. Dreams. Other questions like "is low% even possible?" remain - probably not without glitches so far. I've edited my previous post with some other findings but I need to see what happens with my duplicated Fetus that is both dead in the garden and alive in her cave. If NG is missing a trigger that NG+ has set properly it may be possible.

Does something happens to the developer? The DLsite page shows nothing, or is it some weird glitch for me.

Also I am at lv 20 and I am struggling to kill the butterfly boss, (other places enemies seems too difficult), I chose mage and I don't have AOE spells yet, should I just change weapon to use that low attack AOE?

buy a dream key from merchant from hollow village (or nab one of the withered vessel in the area) and head north towards a gated cave after beating the boss there ask to learn her skill its one of the best ones in the game and in my opinion a requirement for beating the game without cheese also the area past her has a blacksmith you can use to upgrade your weapons

on a another note is soul smite bugged unlike soul strike I couldn't get it to work

Soul Smite and Soul Strike are for different charged up attacks. Soul Strike is for when you see a buff looking like a white figure with yellow energy surrounding it the Soul Smite is for a red block with a black figure pumped up behind some fire. Also to note, you can't have too much TP otherwise you can't perform the moves Soul Strike won't work if you have more than 25 TP and Soul Smite won't work if your TP is above 35
