As with almost every other RPG Maker game, you need Runtime Packages which have files that the game needs. You can download it from the official website here:

Also, does anyone have a guide for the game? There is a true end guide text file in the game files but its blank/has nothing inside.

That's the only one I found. You need to translate it since it's japanese only I think. machine translation is too literal a lot of times and can be confusing, but if you've played through the game once a lot of stuff becomes clear in context. I managed to get to true ending with this guide and fight the hidden NPC after true ending, so it's definitely better than nothing right now.What about the text file that is supposed to be in the files? It's in the folder but its empty inside.
