leaking the game in the week of the release is a dick move that hurts the adult game community.

I believe that the person who did this feels proud of how "fast and helpful they are to the pirate community", but it heavily damages the developers and, in the long run, it damages the community. It's not a side project for me, I'm working on the game full day as a regular job, I'm paying for a lot of third-party services to maintain the game, and I'm paying other people who help me create and maintain content. The main time for me (and other solo developers) to earn money to justify it is the time after the new version release, when the interest in the game peaks. Releasing the pirated game at this time significantly cut my income! And that made me think of ways to prevent it, like making the game impossible to play without an active Patreon subscription. Or maybe closing the Multiplayer and Virtual Playground modes at all to cut the cost of the servers.

I'm trying to do my best to be as open to F95 as possible, I'm listening to the local community, I myself provided the full "leaked" game files previously so you all could have a proper game for free! But as a response, you're just leaking the game in literally the first days of release, putting me in a situation that makes further development questionable. What could I say? Well done.

Do you realize that your patreon subscription is $10? Per month. That's $120 a year to play the game with multiplayer, which is incredibly unreasonable for anyone that isn't earnings thousands.
That is more than any triple A game, ever. And this game has been in development for a while, so you're just using it as a cash cow, and then complain about earnings... on a site used for piracy by many.

I hope you're aware that if you make the game unplayable without patreon, no one is gonna play/show interest in it anymore. There are tons of nsfw games out there that have paid versions, don't do anything to stop it and still make bank. Why? Because people WANT to support it, they're not forced to. I have paid for nsfw games before because I loved them and seen the dedication.

Why should people pay for a "game" that's a glorified rock paper scissors with character creation? Having such a combat system for a game like this is a generational fumble.

Don't even get me started on the use of ai art, that's the moment me and many others have lost much respect for you. How can you as a creator (developer) use such things that hurts other creators (artists)? Don't you have any integrity? You complain about your financial situation, but what about theirs? Would you like it if someone used ai and scraped your game, copied, altered and released it as theirs?

I mean youre not missing much even if you dont get it. They've implemented a lootbox system for unlocks. You barely control anything anymore. Theyve even removed the ability to control the second character, so if you wanna do a particular scene its a nightmare.

Go with the old versions, you'll save yourself alot of time and frustration. Thought it was just growing pains after the 2024 update, its definitely ruined the game imo.

I saw the Furry Update for 25$ subs. Are we going to get furry genitalia too? Horse cocks, canine cocks, feline cocks, etc?

For now, furry stuff is in research/experimental, so it's available only for a limited number of high-tier supporters, but for the next update, I expect it to be a part of the regular character creator with a lot of features. But no, there will be no "non-human" genitals on characters because Patreon ToS really hates it, and the game can be banned for "bestiality" as they did for many other games already. It makes no sense to me, but it is what it is. It's not working in 100% cases, sometimes Patreon ignores it, but I don't want to put the whole project at risk

I'm really sorry that $10 is an unreasonable price to you. For me (and most of my patrons), it's just 2 cups of coffee, and it's far less than I spent on my WoW subscription and GW2 gemstore per year. But I totally understand that not everyone can spend so much. I'm always providing a free game copy for those who can't afford it, but are willing to write me a polite message asking. More than that, I upload the game to F95 many times myself - there is no reason to blame me for "not thinking about those who can't afford it". Also, be aware that literally every feature in the game is added according to my high-tier supporters' votes and requests. It's a 100% community-driven project, and I'm just a small man who follows the supporters' desire. If you feel that the game is not working the way you like, maybe you're just not the target audience. It's ok, no one is forced to play it, there are thousands of games around for everyone's taste. Also, currently, it's literally zero AI art in the game (tho, there were a few placeholder pics earlier, which were not related to the gameplay/game art in any way)

People don't play just one game, I played thousands over the years (no futa on male game has escaped my grasp) and only paid for the ones I liked. If I had to pay for every one I would've had more debt than a country.

Speaking of multiplayer, you complained about server costs, but why not make the player host? Games like Dead by Daylight did that for a long time until they could afford dedicated servers.

And for the ai part I believe "currently" you meant the patreon version, 2025.63 still has them in menus.

about that.. while fiddling with character customization i found one could (in theory, ofc, rite) figure some 'custom peen' that doesn't look human anymore. i mean, it's kind of deformable anyway, one just has to try out. i can create something elvish, or some ogre already, just size is the limit, hrhrhr.. well fairy wings or the likes would be a neat attachment! but really tricky to do i bet.

if someone want a game 0day without effort, that won't happen. even i as a yarr! pirate95 zoner should know as much.
a number of devs already go that way, having just a delay before passing tier 'public', and most of us pirates live with it. sadly there'll be those who cry over each minute delay to get their pirated copy and then throw suspicion over like, downgraded or incomplete or tampered..

Not to complain or anything, but I assume people don't realize how much the game production costs. For example, I just paid a person more than $1k USD for creating 4 new submission animation drafts. It's just 4 new cards with actions, and it's not even ready to use in the game yet, it's just raw animations that will require a lot more work on my side to become actual in-game submissions. Can I also do it "on a player host" to "cut the expenses"?

Well, unfortunately, the issue is that the "genitals, disfigured to the level they don't look human anymore" is not what the furry enjoyers are looking for. There are some pretty common shapes that people expect to see from the furry gens: like the knot and chisel/tapered tip on canine characters, barbs and pointed glans for felines, equines for horses, etc. I would be really happy to add that stuff, but I'm genuinely afraid to confront the Patreon ToS team. Maybe later I can come out with a patch downloaded elsewhere that will be "totally not related to me and just be a responsibility of anonymous modders"

player host nowdays is a terrible idea imo, really. you'd have to implement a tamper proof server concept into the game, to make sure the host doesn't do something you don't like. then comes lag, if the host plays too, on the hosting computer; so you go and create another server setup for dedicated run. that's that. then, nothing stops some bad actor to host a game and spread something through this 'client side server host' thing.
i recall some games with that 'host a game' feature used to be a thing back when LAN parties used to be a thing, but imo those are past times. we still do that on occasion, down in 'the cave' (part of the basement) but that's for what we call family 'bring your own laptop' game days.

The character editor is good and offers a lot of options. However, I'm missing a height slider. I know it messes up some animations, but there are enough glitches as it is.

to me it's more about size relations; a human/average sized OGRE just doesn't look right. neither does a human sized PIXIE without wings, or other fantasy creatures, that's why i mentioned size.
also, with the already available tools, one could (with effort) possibly create humans that seem to appear underaged, which probly is like this for each and any game that comes with any sliders for appearance. then there are those who create their own tools and modify the default assets of regular games, i've come across 'nude patch' or 'topless mod' more often than not, ages ago already, and for games you wouldn't expect it to be a thing. so, even if everyone stops creating games, it wouldn't stop the pedos.

reminds me of this story at some art event, with a guide leading ppl around, explaining a number of paintings.. suddenly yelling at some dude who just stood there laughing. asked why and who the hell are you etc.. the dude: well i'm the artist.

everyone and their dog seems to know exactly what the dev did when and why, except for the dev. ain't nothing new. so sad!

Thanks for the game. Character customization is fantastic!
I got a small issue: the game started to completely freeze for about 5 seconds when I change some things like skin or hair or piece of clothes in the character customization. During the battle in works perfectly and uses no more that 50% of CPU and GPU.

some performance drops are expectable when you change a characters' appearance. the game needs to load a stack of things from disk, that's especially notable on older systems with 'classic' mechanical harddisks instead of SSD.
my 15+ years old machine would freeze, up to 10+ seconds, when configuring a char. i could still play (set to medium gfx/60fps in fights) where even the dev seemed surprised the game could run at all, on something this ancient.
