They are "18" only in the usual "everyone in the movie is legally an adult" cover-your-arse boilplate.
Yeah it is kind of funny - they're "legally" 18 and they're in college. BUT they live at home, they don't drive, they don't have even basic self-sufficiency in doing chores or earning any money or living on student loans, and basically in every way are depicted like 14-15 year olds.

It's a pretty transparent fig leaf, but I guess it must have some CYA usefulness.

well, there's strong hints that dad had already sexual interactions with daughter, at least on webcam, so it's not so strange that, once he came home, try other son too xD
Hi, I don't want to be the one to ruin your fantasies, but when Phil comes home, it means that his eight-week contract in Alaska has ended and the game is over. I think it's unlikely that he'll return early.

That no player takes seriously, just like they don't take seriously any of the "they are all adopted so there's no incest" excuses which are just another variant of the "they're landlady and tenants, you guys".

Not sure why it's suddenly controversial if someone who plays the game prefers to have Susan fuck people who are of her own age instead of literally half younger. Bit of a pity there's only the biker guy as such option (the cop "friend" can go and fuck himself after his rapist reveal)
Everyone plays as they see fit. For example, I play with the original settings, which I think are plausible, and not just because the developer has covered their backs. I think allowing free will is the best thing to do, without criticizing what others do.

In the USA, if you continue to live at home, you don't legally become independent of your parents until you're 21. If you leave to go to college, and live independently, or simply move out for any other reason, this can happen at 18. But until that happens, you're still classed as being a minor, until your 21st birthday. If you want to be become a real adult at 18, you have to leave the nest.

I assume they live at home because the college is within walking distance or at least a bus ride of their home. I imagine very few college students, wherever they are, would leave home if that was an option. And I guess they don't drive, because for the most part they've never needed to learn, having a very amenable mother, who is willing to drive them everywhere. If you have your own personal chauffeur why would you bother? And the same goes for chores. Susan was willing to do everything, because she wanted to be, what she imagined was the 'perfect' mom. If she really was the 'perfect' mom, she would have encouraged them to be more independant, by doing stuff like chores and taking some kind of part-time job. But she didn't, which is why both of them are actually spoilt brats.
If you're insinuating, that being 18, automatically makes you into a mature adult, you don't know that many 18 year olds. If you have parents who bring you up to be a self-functioning member of society, it doesn't matter whether you're 14 or 18, or you stay at home until your 21 for that matter, because whatever way, you're very likely already on the path to being independant.

Let's face it, neither Susan or Phil are particularly good parents. They think they are, but both of them are far too lenient with their children and unwilling to instil values, that would actually help them as adults. Because they don't really want them to grow up and leave the nest. Most of Susan's reason for existence revolves around being a full-time mom, and Phil is sexually obsessed with his adopted daughter. Usually, if your kids turn 18, and they're still really immature, it's mainly because of you.

Bearing in mind, we're only 1 week in, after 2 years of development. Are you suggesting, there is still another 14 years to go, before we reach the end? Because I might be getting a bit old by then.

I think it's very likely, that Phil will make an early return, if only so the Dev can move onto something else. Cos honestly after a few more weeks on the current trajectory, Susan will already be a superslut, and Phil fucking Gareth, Maria, the air hostess and possibly the boss woman, will get old really quickly. Because unlike Susan, he's living in a remote location, with not a lot of options. So unless all the other guys turn gay as well, Phil is stuck with those 4 options, in a really limited range of locales (basically Gareth and Phil's tiny bedroom or the communal meeting room).

If you think about it, the Dev has painted himself into a corner with Phil's storyline, because after he's exhausted all the limited options, there won't be anything more to do. There's only so many variations of fucking in Phil and Gareth's bedroom that you can do, before that content becomes very boring. And since you've already told us, that outside it's freezing cold, that kind of rules out fucking outdoors. So once Phil has fucked the other two possible characters, what more is there to do? Maybe a trip to the nearest town perhaps? But at some point he's still going to run out of content, so maybe he should seriously consider rationing it?

I asked the same question to the Dev on Subscribe, and as you can see below, he didn't answer me.

I believe and hope that he will do as I expected, applying game days jumps.

So far, the game has been played in real time. So he'll have to change from that, to have any chance of getting through the full 8 week period. Because at the moment, he's spending multiple updates on each game day. So either switch to less content per day or as you suggest jump forward a week, every so often.

And I think he really needs to limit Phil's content appearances to once a day, because otherwise he's going to have to recycle a lot of his content, because there's a severe limit to what you can do, in that location, with basically only 2 women and a bunch of men. Because even if Phil manages to have sex with the Air Hostess, most of the time you wouldn't expect her to be in Alaska, or anywhere close to the remote area that Phil is working in. So short of the occasional visit to an Alaskan city with an airport, what chance would Phil have, of meeting up with her, or anyone else. That means his only realistic options through most of the game are the two women, plus Gareth if he's bisexual, and they can only ever have sex in one or two locations.

We already know that Phil can have sex with Gareth and Maria whenever he wants, since both of them are really promiscuous. So there's no room there for any gradual development of any sex content. And based on her slutty appearance and behaviour, I'm guessing the Air Hostess will be exactly the same. So that only leaves the boss lady for Phil to potentially have to put some effort, into bedding her. So what we going to have, another party in somebody else's bedroom, so he gets another chance to seduce her, followed by exactly the same threesome scene with Gareth and Maria (if Phil is bisexual)?

I honestly don't why he decided to include Phil, because he's put him in such a ridiculously limited location, that you can't realistically make his side of the storyline interesting. He should have limited Phil's input to phone calls between him and Susan, with perhaps the occasional implication that he might have been up to something with other people in Alaska.

Having to do one update per month, he gets where he can and the content is what it is. Sometimes I noticed that he gets lost in bullshit to have more content at that time of day, which could be spread out over the following periods.

In fact, I wrote to him that it took three updates, or three months, to cover half a day on Saturday afternoon. Adams could have gone to the neighbor's house another day, and I don't think it would have changed anything in the plot.

Sunday morning, on the other hand, flew by with only one piece of content, so this could be a way to shorten the time. I also noticed that it takes us an average of three months to develop a full day of the game, and we should bring that down to two.

There is one important scene with Phil per day, so you're right that they should be reduced to one every two days, or even every three days in my opinion. I consider him a secondary character and personally I'm not very interested in what he does or what he has become.

I agree about Phil. I only really play his content, since it happens anyway whether you play it or not. It's not like it never happens, if you decide not to see it.

And I don't understand the point of making Phil bisexual either? He's definitely not the MC in this game, that's Susan, and people interested in her content are not likely to be interested in male on male content. So why include the gay content? What's his target audience there? If he was actually trying to target people interested in gay content, why would he make Phil's role so insignificant? It seems totally superflous to the plot? Cos if you really were interested in a game with gay content, you wouldn't play this game, because most of it features heterosexual or lesbian content?

That subplot seems to be orchestrated by Phil's roommate (going by the comments between him and the girl, when Phil leaves for the bathroom) Could be something silly, like him turning Phil in his sub, so he can fuck Susan when they return from the job and he pays Phil a vist.

Or maybe it's just something the author is into and they indulged themselves.

There are female players who are into male on male content just like guys who are into girl on girl content. Not to mention, there are gay players who are always searching for this kind of content, I already provided screenshot on itch.io in post in some of the previous pages. Isn't Phil playable too? Heterosexual girls and gay players are a minority but it seems that the dev wants to expand the game to a wider audience. Gay game Devs are the biggest money makers next to straight male Devs so there's definitely interest in gay content. This is why EK changed her mind and included it in her game.

Yeah, you can try to be all things to all people in a game, but it rarely works out well. In this instance, the Dev has given bisexual Phil such a small role, that it hardly seems credible that anyone interested in that kind of content, would specifically choose this game? If the Dev really was interested in including that kind of content, why make it so insignificant? It's not like you can just play that kind of content either. Basically you can only play that content, if you play all the heterosexual content as well. And as a gay person why would you trawl through a ton of girl on guy or girl on girl content, just to get a few disconnected scenes that might interest you?

I have absolutely no problem with gay content. It's not my cup of tea, but I'm definitely not trying to say that it can't be on this site, for those people that enjoy it. I'm just questioning why it's in this game, where 99% of the people playing it, are very very unlikely to have any interest in it?

We initially started talking about this, as part of a discussion about the Dev's incredibly slow progress through his 8 week arc through this game. Which according to Geko1711 he still intends to pursue in it's entirity. So adding in these superflous storylines, for no obvious reason, is just slowing down an already overly ambitious project. Personally, as I said before, I'd get rid of Phil's POV completely. The Dev is inevitably going to run out of content for Phil, that he won't have to rehash anyway. So he should do himself and most of us a favour, and just concentrate on Susan's storyline, that he's clearly much more invested in himself as well.

Initially, this wasn't the case, otherwise I would have discarded the game just by reading the tag, but recently there has been this change. Luckily, Phil (gay) can be avoided, and I hope it stays that way, otherwise I'll leave immediately.

Who knows? Maybe the dev is throwing random kinks to see how people will react? I know I had bad reaction when there was the toilet play that I have no interest into.

Really i missed that part, but how old can active soldiers be?

US Military Enlistment Age Limits
The minimum age to join the U.S. military is 17 with parental consent or 18 without, and the maximum age varies by branch, with the Air Force and Space Force having the highest cutoff at 42. The age limits for other branches are generally: Army (17–35), Marine Corps (17–28), Navy (17–41), and Coast Guard (17–41). However, the private sector is limitless based on experience, usually.

I must admit, I did wonder about that? Actually, according to the plot he's a naval officer. So when he talks about being in the field, he possibly means onboard ship, unless he's a Navy Seal? But he also suggests he's used to roughing it in the field, which doesn't seem to be talking about being onboard a ship. Because I reckon modern US warships do have reasonable facilities for the crew. It's not like they're living in tents, having to cook their food over fires and shitting in the bushes? I suppose if he's a senior officer in the US Navy, he could still be active in his 50s.

Perhaps though, the Dev forgot that he initially said that he was in the Navy? And he's since morphed into an army officer? If that's the case, and he's leading his men in the field, which would probably mean recently serving in Afghanistan. Then yeah, being fit and healthy at his age, would still be a necessity.
