I'll do my best. ;)

And it seems that the dev is experimenting with some ideas again. "Follow (copy) function". .

I dunno, after reading those replies, something about this project and dev, despite having no new builds in (what it feels like) over a year, it somehow comes to me as genuine. The fact that he knows people want the game now but knows that due to his circumstances he can't work as fast as he would like, he still doesn't view it in a negative light towards the opinion, making it unorthodox. Anyone else? Plus, can't knock the guy for having good pixel-art skills.

Really, what I'm trying to say is that I don't feel as distraught from the project, despite how long it's been. At least the dev knows that and uses it as a fuel to propel the goal.

the dev suffers from anxiety and often in a panic about their game not being good enough. they're making it alone, so expect it to take a long time, especially since they want to make everyone happy with it. so it may fall into never completing as they'll want to add more and more to it. So please be kind to them. They're doing their best, and they aren't charging anyone for it either so this is all free work.

The only problem that I see with this is that they end up trying to add too much to the mix and end up being overwhelmed to the point of burnout, then to the "Onhold" tag it forever goes, or trying to please a certain audience with a feature or animation or fetish or whatever. That, or lack of a drive, but clearly he isn't low on that.

Yep! That's artist perfectionism for you. Very hard to say "good enough", even they admitted to that. But they trying to get themselves to say that, and that's good enough for me.

I couldn't find if someone has mentioned this already, but the game itself doesn't trigger the virus/spyware warning, it is the keyconfig.exe which is not needed for the game.
If you are cautious about it, just extract everything else and delete the .rar file, keyconfig.exe is only used for keybindings and I am already content to use the default keys or use something like joytokey.

Yeah I came in here to report that the keyconfig.exe is triggering a virus detection. VirusTotal shows 35/72 vendors labeling it as a virus. But I'm not too knowledgeable in discerning if this is a false positive or not.

It's a false positive, everyone else here played the game just fine with no issues. (Rule of thumb, if there's more than one page of replies on a thread and you get a virus warning for the game, chances are it's a false positive and/or the game has to do something weird to work.)
