But AR is not cyberpunk, and I did not notice constant cruelty and deaths there.
The confrontation of corporations breaking the law is a common theme in many genres, in cyberpunk the difference is that corporations are also the government in fact.

What I mainly meant is that Neon Heart’s cyberpunk setting feels like a natural extension of the foundation laid by AR1 and AR2. The theme of powerful corporations going rogue and controlling countries and societies is indeed common across many genres. I didn’t specifically mention extreme cruelty or deaths; however, these remain possibilities within the AR world.

AR1 definitely talks about a first war between corporations, supposedly fought by private armies, with agents regularly hired by them to do their dirty work, an example of just how far their power and influence can go. It’s also suggested several times that these corporations can threaten or target individuals. So, I guess it’s not so far-fetched to think something like that could happen, at least under certain circumstances.

You're talking about something completely different. I didn't say the world in NH is illogical or unbelievable. That could happen in any world, regardless of the past. I said it was sad that the AR world turned into the piece of shit that the NH world is.

Ah, my bad, I kind of had that impression, no worries. But I still wanted to say that, from a consistency standpoint, the dev made the right choice with this setting for Neon Heart. ^^

Well, I don't like such dark dystopias with character deaths, but there is no point in discussing this, the meaning of my comment was originally different.

Also, the initial of all the Lawrence women first names is V.
In fact, the 3 games are part of a "Project V".
It can't be just a coincidence.

Indeed, the similarities are far too many to be dismissed as mere coincidence. ^^ I believe someone had already pointed out this pattern with all those names beginning with a V. :)

At this point it is starting to seem you just like to argue no matter the excuse. Don't bother quoting me, i won't be going back and forth with you.
You are the one arguing with me here. And you don't even have a reason to argue, you call my words strange without explaining why.

Why are you two arguing? I honestly don’t see much reason for it. I’m pretty sure it’s just a simple misunderstanding between you, and you're blowing things out of proportion.

Kontralta simply said he wasn’t into that kind of atmosphere, the whole dystopian vibe, but it’s not like he disliked the game itself. I misunderstood his intentions at first too, but we had a calm conversation, shared our points of view, he explained his side of things, and since then everything’s been smooth. No tension, no drama. So… can’t you two do the same? ^^

the game is very good but the Vanessa perspective is pissing off and ruining the game play and i don't see the multiple protagonist tag and the game is better with just one because now i have to care about Vanessa stat to, i think she is better of dead the next update.

Given the information provided in AR1 & AR2 as well as the new info in NHs, I present the HANAKOXVNverse Timeline:
Keep in mind that Neon Heart is A future, not THE future, but, to fill some gaps:
- Violet was born in 2001
- First Corpo War was in 2008
- Second Corpo War in 2050
- Third Corpo war in 2075 (this might be important later)
- In 2080 Veronica and Vanessa get into an accident.
- Neon Heart happens in 2088

Also, if y'all don't mind a moment of real talk, bear with me...
This game was never getting anywhere near my Patreon (there's a giant neon sign with "INCEST HAPPENING IN 5...4..." hanging over it), I was hoping to be able to justify spending more time on it via selling it on Itch and eventually Steam, but that ship has now sailed.

I'll keep making it 'cause I want to finish it (and I wanna know if it's actually possible to do the sisters' fight sequence the way I want it to), but like, don't hold your breath.
I got rent to pay and there's only so many hours in a day.
My apologies if this is a bit of a disappointment, but sadly that's the way things are going right now...

Cheerio!

Just to make sure, I really understand your post: You mean you will still finish it but at a very slow rate (like you already said before), correct? Or are you going to abandon it? Sorry about but I somehow did not fully understand this.

For what it's worth, if incest is everything that prevents you from putting it out to the market, just change their relationship (unless you already have a 300 page story document that carries the AR/NH lore into the next centuries of course).

Thanks for all your stories anyway. You are a total badass!
