Yeah, trying to get the angle that shows the penis on the pussy, and the two faces close enough so it looks like whispering in the ears, it's rough, especially without a good base
Tried again with some changed prompts, these are the best results I got
And yeah, for some reason the model wants to give the guy black hair, and I gave up on trying to change that with prompts, because it seemed to ruin the rest of the image

I guess without specific training AI just can't make it so that Annie's face is closer to the viewer, obscuring Gary's. It gets the instruction to draw a boy and so it does, whole face and everything. And then just makes characters face each other, on the same level.
Btw, I think Gary is supposed to have black hair, so that's completely fine.

I thought you meant that the style was the stock standard AI style that a lot of games use, which it really isn't

As for your point, HoM did ask for a smirk, so I gave the girl a smirk
I don't think it's quite the grin you see in the images of Maki, for example

I found a second person, besides myself, who hates that face and compares it to Dreamworks face. Wow.
Now, Annie's face is not actually that. The examples you show are all the product of heavy Melkor Mancin style. And it's very easily distinguished, because all female faces, except one, have the 45 degree \ / eyebrows that amplify that evil grin (among other things).
Vampz's image doesn't have it. I don't think he uses that style for those images, even at low strength (correct me, if I am wrong, vampz). Annie's smile is not even close to being that predatory. The eyebrows are arched, not trying to make a V shape.
True, it is a smirk and it will look similar in many checkpoints. Just like "happy smile", "excited smile", "ahegao", "tongue out" or what have you.
But suggesting that Annie's expression looks remotely close to Maki's evil asshole grin... Nah, can't agree with that.

The expression you gave her is perfectly fine. Her eyes are relaxed and her smile is soft. It's nothing like those very particular kinetic novels with the constant smile. But I agree, that those grins are overused and annoying. It's why I couldn't continue playing them. That, and the fact they were so-called 'kinetic'.

I think it's quite hard to coax more natural smiles out of popular models, that's probably in part the reason why the smug one is so prominent. (personally i quite like what you can get if you ask for closed mouth, the results are more subdued but less like the character is just faking it. But then porn games aren't exactly the venue where people want subtlety)

I actually thought the one you had in the earlier iteration was good. But you're right, the author did ask for it being a smirk (instead) so in this particular instance this is probably a better fit. It's just it pretty much invokes a knee-jerk reaction from me at this point, so seeing it as a replacement was just... "aaargh". But it could look like i was unfairly singling your image out here and that wasn't my intention, so sorry about it.

The image I posted before wasn't even the proper smirk look, because I modified the original I got with Img2Img, trying a mid denoise value to not mess up the overall positioning

It was this face. One eyebrow raised,a grin with the mouth opened more on one side and one of its corners also raised higher than the other.

It wasn't actually prominent in their movies, afaik. It was the marketing squad that put it on posters.
