Yea I think free is just a bit after the paid plan normally. Its very fair so far in my book.

The upcoming update requires additional programming for combat and also to address the engine limitations. Therefore, they decided to hire someone with more experience to handle the task. On the positive side, the update will include more content than originally planned.
