*some* people may not think highly of the MC, but many of us play it as Stag where the MC and Laura have a loving relationship built around her sharing. No conflict needed. Though I don't play the Cuck route much it's still overall an NTS game.
Buddy, you can calmly enjoy the vanilla way where pink ponies and love are like in Disney cartoons, but hardcore gals and boys want Feelings ,Drama and suffering.
I don't see any problem with these two or more options existing simultaneously in this project .

You may not, but it's not your project. If you want *that* make your own project.

MC doesn't need to get into fights with others, he was upset with Mike and supported Laura in that, MC turning into a streetwise avenger or assassin isn't needed. To the original point, the MC is highly regarded by many and doesn't need to prove anything by taking someone out to maintain control, which he hasn't lost overall (at least as I noted in the Stag route).

Neither has he on Balanced, which, for all intents and purposes, is the "main" route.

I can see one. A rather big yet simple one to be honest: Every different path created can easily double the amount of time / work necessary. In my opinion, it's better to focus on one single path for now, making sure to reach a proper ending. Better to have a finished game with one path than an unfinished game with 32 paths.

I've seen this happening in so many projects... Many people want their project to have a lot of different paths, giving a lot of freedom to the players. It's a nice idea on paper... but an unrealistic one in practice. Those people ended up reducing their original goal or gave up, crushed by the amount of work required.

If he wants to, it'll always be possible for LeStag to decide to create and add new paths later, after finishing this one.

Imho getting rid of him is even better because he's all like "heh that bitch craves my dick, haha you can't do anything about it, I just fuck her too good, you better get used to this" and then you say "hey Laura, lose this asshole" and she goes "yep, done".

To be honest, I don't really like that interaction, Laura tries to justify him too much: "oh but don't worry he is actually super nice".

Yeah, not to your partner which is not really feeling it, drop him without the excuses.
Considering that he then goes on being an asshat.

I didn't take it as her trying to justify him, more like her being biased a bit.

It happens in real life too.

She still drops him on the spot like a hot potato.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying she doesn't drop him in the end, it is fine.

It's just that interaction really didn't sit well with me, biased or not, she should take your side immediately, plus Oliver keeps being an ass and she doesn't stop him once, so that justification (or whatever we want to call it) becomes even more "heavy".

But again, it is just my way of seeing things, in my experience when something like that happened it was case closed immediately no question asked, so I am more used to strict boundaries I guess.
