It does, just follow the instructions. If you did it right it works.
If it didn't work, you did something wrong, you missed a step or put something in the wrong place.

my take on 0.25 :
- always too much "of course you... " after a MC's answer not only with Laura, but Ashley and Tara too. As if they were one same character with a very bad habit.
- There no such things like tension at this point of the game. No second thoughts.
- Laura takes the lead from Ashley which is a good point. Even if she behaves like a ... MAN now. She acts and speaks like one.
- Most of the choices aren't real ones. And they aren't written in a way to produce the illusion of choice. What takes off the few agency I had as a player.
I think it's more of the same. If you liked it before 0.25, you'll still like it. Same qualities, same defaults.

Generally, yeah. Computer's have created a bit of a loneliness epidemic. Alot of people simply dont know how to socialize anymore, or drop friends/family over minor political differences. I dont think there's an easy cure, but stuff like this is kind of like a band-aid.

I will add an important point - after point 3.
if firewall will ask you to give the program permission to access the network. Give permission otherwise the crack will not work.

This will not work if you do just this. You are missing the most important part:
4. Download the crack from the OP (updated: https://f95zone.to/threads/netorase-phone-v0-25-le-stag.207035/post-17423690) and paste it in the game folder.
