Try to start a new game through the chapter selection (just click on the first chapter), then after starting, if it worked, you will receive new messages and then just load your save. It should work.

The phone discussion format is fundamentally bad. the idea that these are actual phone conversations isn't believable. Reading text is burdensome due to the format. You have to grind read through emotes. Theres no variety, you just read phone text.
It's not good storytelling, themes are boring and dialogues are mostly repeating stuff. Theres ideas copied from other games except its paced and presented worse.

Ok I liked the update. It felt like it was back to the roots. The MC and the girls doing stuff together and such, and not having the same repeated scene with the same characters. And there was a bit of story development and a bit of drama happening with Mike which was a nice change of pace, I don't know how much impact it will have in the future. I also enjoyed the last update mainly because of the last chapter focused on Ashley, I'll keep saying this, Ashley is by far the best character in the game and her scenes are always the best.
