Considering the amount of people that say things like "I'm only here for Ashley/Tara", yes. The updates including other characters seem to generate more enthusiasm, and a lot of people seem to enjoy the opening toward other people, and their inclusion in the story.
My opinion is that people are more excited about Ashley and Tara because Laura has been burned through and is now relatively uninteresting.
She went from being a bit shy to getting fucked daily and planning "surprises" (condoms, last fuck with Mike, prioritizing Oliver) even on dom path but I already elaborated on that) in a very short time and without any payoff.
Her progression was exponential and out of control since the initial Nathan arc, no challenge in her feelings, no meaningful connection with MC.
Looking at the dialogues: Nathan is more connected with her than with MC and MC has more of a connection with Tara.
So now I think you kinda painted yourself into a corner with her, you either go down some degenerate stuff that might not be for everyone and maybe you don't have planned in your story or start rebuilding her character a bit, being hurt by Mike and MC holding her hand to make some new baby steps in understanding their relationship (seriously the "I need to process this alone" really underlines how the connection with MC is feeble).
At the moment the only thing that would keep her interesting for me is some threesomes with MC+Laura+Nathan/Ash/Tara or keeping her in the bathroom at the club selling bjs for drinks so that MC, Tara and Ash can drink and have fun for free (ok this idea is more of a joke on my part, I know it is not that kind of game).
I saw that you met some unfair criticism lately, so I hope you take my post as genuine and my criticism as constructive, because overall some ideas are simply great: discovering the cuckquean side of Laura (another hook that can keep her relevant and create a new connection with MC), the group of friends uniting and becoming a bit of a sex enclave, Tara being bi/lesbian.
