Ok. I buy it, I will edit it and change "changed" to "is changing".
I can't begin to describe my disappointment with this update (29.2), specifically the Oliver content. I can only echo what has already been described about this, and specifically Laura heeding Oliver's wishes more than MC is incredibly disappointing development for this game that has otherwise been incredible.
The decision to reintroduce Oliver is incredibly polarising and a very brave decision, to say the least. It is pretty interesting how such such a polarising figure as Oliver can cause a game to have such a different feel about it.
I can only hope that proper supporters of this game will feel that this will be worth it.
Unfortunately it isnt for me. I wish the developer and the people that will continue the best of good wishes and luck. The game, up until this point, was one of the best games on the website in its genre. Spectacular.

By the way love, some movers will be coming through tomorrow to... reorganize my things.
Hadn't played for a few updates. Huge amount of content had been added, and several great scenes. I think it keeps improving. Enjoying where Hugo is heading, Nathan is great as a backstop, and looking forward to Sophie watching you watching them in the future. And the occasional dose of Oliver is fine to sprinkle in. Tara is cool, hot AF but I like her as like a chill friend for the MC, not someone he'd fuck. So not as excited as some for her upcoming content, but I have nothing to complain about.
All in all it's been some great work. Not sure where people are coming from with some of the negative comments. The game is exactly what the title states. Now its just more and better.

Some Dom route readers are lamenting because v0.29.2 strongly indicates we'll be boxed into a passive Sub role by Laura and Oliver. Stag confirmed Laura enjoys having bulls disrespect her and MC on all routes, which isn't attractive to every reader group.
Adding my 2 cents on the Oliver discussion, it's unfortunately consistent with one other situation in the game that's been irking me for some time.
We get bombarded with flavor choices (which is fine btw), but on crucial matters, matters that are asking for a choice, some things are forced down our throats.
To be clear, I don't even mind Oliver... if it's on a sub path, or that 1 time earlier to find out you dislike him and cull him afterwards.
But I still agree that suddenly forcing him on the player again, especially the 'how', is poor design.
Making him less demeaning towards the MC doesn't really work here either, because the whole scene as such is clearly not really written with that in mind.
I really think he shouldn't be mandatory on at least the Stag routes, period.
Even if that means skipping a whole chapter, and going through the hassle of a different way to develop Laura's preferences for getting dominated and disrespected by alpha/sigma bulls.
Because the latter doesn't need to be done in our home. It could be Laura having a 1-night-stand with an Oliver-type guy, or it could be in Oliver's flat.
But the way the scene was written, all players are forced into what's a rather sub-cuck situation with no true way out, and I absolutely understand why a lot of people dislike that and feel like it's touching on NTR with the lack of choice.

This lack of choice is unfortunately also in line with one other part of the game that's been irritating me greatly, even if I'm probably in a minority there:
With Ashley (love her character in principle), you either have to reject her entirely, or you're forced to effectively cheat on Laura, at least twice so far.
In my opinion, it feels more like Laura isn't sharing us with Ash, she's rather getting coerced into tolerating us occasionally cheating on her with Ashley.
The first time, the very first blowjob, Laura knows what's happening, but the MC does not know that she knows... yet we never get the choice to confirm with her.
In reality, the way things unfolded in that scene should be a red flag to any girlfriend.
I mean, by the time it happens, the last info the MC had was that Laura still isn't sure about sharing him, so without asking her before letting Ashley suck him off, he's effectively cheating and not giving a fuck about Laura at that moment, regardless of Laura's agreement with Ash behind the scenes.
The second time, during his birthday, it gets "even better", as this time it indeed happens behind Laura's back (well, in front of her eyes in the end), and again we're only given a choice between rejecting Ashley early, or just letting it happen...
instead of getting an option to, you know, ask for your girlfriend's consent the same way we (used to) expect her to ask us for ours (outside the "allowed to break rules" option... and now Oliver).
It's then brushed off because it "turned her on", but that doesn't change what happened... and that any balanced or sub-to-Laura MC worth their salt should absolutely at least feel guilty about it, or just not let it unfold that way to begin with.
Basically, with how these Ashley blowjobs have been handled, there's technically avoidable NTR already, although for now it's just Laura getting NTR'd by the MC+Ashley.
Which I find annoying, because the balanced path was kinda my path (disappointed it was removed), and I absolutely want sex with Ashley, but not at the price of cheating on Laura without asking for her consent.

What irks me is that these situations, or rather how they've been handled, are clearly at odds with how a lot of other situations have been handled in this game, and also at odds (in terms of lack of choice) with what I'd want to see in an otherwise pretty good pure Netorase/Sharing game.
Forcing a sub-cuck-leaning scene on all players, and forcing anyone who wants Ashley to kinda cheat on Laura, is simply at odds with the whole "sharing with consent and mutual respect" thing that's so important to true sharing to begin with, and that the game otherwise handled fairly well so far... apart from these recent exceptions.
Basically, it kind of feels like LeStag is denying the MC some sensible courses of action over personal preferences... and maybe a bit of laziness.
For example, the "MC cheating on Laura" situations I described could be easily avoided with just 1 additional choice to contact Laura, and a handful of messages between MC and Laura before "it" happens.
In any case, I was going to write most of this as explanation for giving the game only a 3-star rating in its current form, even though it used to be 5 stars to me, but the text kinda became too big to manage through the smaller review text window, so I'm posting it here and might do a smaller review later.
But yeah, the removal of the Balanced path, the "cheat or nothing" with Ashley, that Oliver scene getting forced on everyone, they all seem to follow the same trend:
Mutual consent and respect seem to be slowly getting kicked to the curb in favor of doubling down on the fringe extremes, which is a bit disappointing.

How is it mutual sharing when she now fucks a guy that you previously wanted nothing to do with? On top of that she prioritizes what he wants over what the person she supposedly loves wants? This goes double for the supposed stag route. That's not sharing, that's straight up cheating. That's coming from someone that doesn't mind NTR in games but don't pretend it's not what it is. As some others have pointed out it's not like this requires creating entirely new scenes to deal with. You can just have them communicate, which is the core of this type of relationship. However, it seems like the story is turning away from open communication in pursuit of humiliation.

If you are playing from Memories, some things are broken at this stage. Dev said he's doing some fixing, but will need some time to integrate tendencies and stuff.
If you're on a normal playthrough, dunno why it's happening. Maybe you changed the route at some point early in the story ? If that is even possible.

Yes, because, once again, I CANNOT give in to your every choices. I cannot write every combination of every decision you could take. That's simply not possible at all. Do you realize how impossible it would be for a game to not "force things down your throats"?
So, yeah, you as the player don't actually have full control over events. You cannot completely remove people from the story, and you cannot decide exactly what Laura will do. You have to accept some of her unilateral decisions. And I'm getting tired of people accusing me of "not understanding how such a relationship works" when they refuse to understand the limitation of a kinetic visual novel. I HAVE to make most things mandatory. That's the story. That's how it will play out, because that's how it HAS to play out.
Please take a minute to think about the consequences, the real life, development-side consequences, of some of the things you're asking. Some suggestions I see here would literally take weeks of work in the long run, just to let you have ONE (1) specific choice, because it would create so many more ramifications that you think.
Yes, in real life, you would have more control. But this is not real life, this is a story. Just like Call of Duty doesn't allow you to defect and go live as a hermit in the forests of Canada, because that's not the story that's being told there, NTS Phone doesn't allow you to forbid Laura from having partners, because that's the story I'm telling.
I'm deeply, sincerely sorry some of you cannot wrap your heads around the fact that this is fantasy. That this is fiction. That this is a medium with inherent limitations, that cannot respect every single real life rules of such relationships. But your inability to accept that doesn't create any obligation from me to cater to you. NTS Phone, in its current state, is the story I'm writing, the one I wanted to write, and the one I'll keep writing. There are thousands of other video games out there, and I'm sure you'll find what you want there.
When you play Call of Duty, you accept that you play as a character prepared to kill other human beings, even though you, yourself, might not want that.
Well, when you play NTS Phone, you should accept that you play as a character that doesn't want to forbid his girlfriend from having partners, and gives her freedom in how to enjoy this kink, even though you, yourself, might not want that.
So, if you have issues with specific "how are things handled" moments, such as the "I'd rather be there" not being taken into account (which I could probably have handled better), I'm all ears. But if this feedback is drowned in "I don't want to have mandatory elements because I don't like them", I won't read it, because I'm tired of it.

FFS, will you even try understanding that the story changed?! Do I need to create a F95 version opening with a big red "The story has been retconned, you didn't ask Laura to get rid of Oliver"? Or would even that be not enough because some of you cannot handle changes?

Except that, before it happens, Laura explicitly tells you Ashley has contacted her, and says, I quote, "Just know that she's made sure that I was okay with her plans".
So, at some point, I'm starting to wonder if some of you even read the dialogues, or if I need to add a big red "THAT MEANS ASHLEY TOLD HER SHE WAS GOING TO SUCK YOUR COCK AND LAURA IS OKAY WITH IT".
