Are you saying that NTR/NTS (and swinging) are (or might be) optional, in case the player don't wants that? I mean they wouldn't exactly fall into the category vanilla, i'd say.

Yes the vast majority of people that give angry (formerly facepalm) emojis in NTR threads are largely the same ones that continue to visit ntr threads even though they claim to be vanilla fans. I am not referring to the vanilla fans that have the ability to keep to their own interests, only the ones that keep coming in these threads againa and again. If you feel you are in the minority group of a different reason and feel slighted at being the minority using an emoji that is very clearly an offensive passive aggressive emoji, then I apologize, but these few are exeptions and not the rule. Bottom line, 95% of people giving these emojis in ntr threads either want to troll the fetish or an associated fetish or trope. It's a tired endless troll. Thank you for the feedback, after some deliberate thinking. I'll be using Ren'Py itself for adding the grain noise.

Get rid of the grain noise -> PNG to WebP-> Add grain noise to Ren'Py -> Extend the dialogues and add more CG -> Fix some tittle cards -> Update.

It's certainly getting more popular accross the board as the years progress. But "very popular" and "seen a lot" is hugely subjective. NTR wouldn't even be considered in the top 5 in almost any way you slice it. Lesbian, romance, milf, incest, teen, bdsm all generally beat it out and it's not usually that close at all. NTR is the redheaded step child of porn, but yea it's probably seen the biggest uptick in popularity over the last 25 years if you compare its growth to the top genres.
