I've had this conversation a few times over the past week, but the reality is that the attitude of "the game is doing well because it's quality" is not the whole story. I've made games that are much higher quality than this that have performed much worse. People really resonated with this game's specific implementation of combining the lewdness with the Fire Emblem style combat.

Yeah, I really like this game in spite of a fantasy world that, to me, is borderline incoherent. No offense but all the robot police and stuff just isn't for me, call me unimaginative but the fairly standard fantasy feudal world in naked ambition is much preferable. The cast of characters is also much more memorable and there's just a lot there that's great but what isn't preferable is that game's gameplay systems.

Really, Naked Ambition is maybe the most frustrating game I have ever played on here, there's so much that's inspired and compelling about it and I've tried playing without the cheat functions and I slowly realize each time I should have taken the game seriously and planned ahead and that's just an odd expectation of someone playing a porn game.

I'm not interested in the transformation stuff, but what kind of NTR will be in Netoria 2?

I'm asking because even though I think the game is good in general, the three NTR options were not appealing to me. I was missing the evil guy who takes control and takes the girl against the MCs and also against the girls wishes. And no, hypnosis (similar to drugs or mind control) is just a boring way of cheating, sorry- it's not appealing if he turns the woman into a mindless puppet. She should be in control of herself, fully aware of what happens and what she is doing.
So what was missing, imho, was the one dominant guy who is a menace due to his personality and lack of morals. The one who MC fights at every chance, but the main girl still sucks his dick whenever he demands it, also in front of mc, because she knows better than to antagonize him (not because she likes it or wants it- but maybe later on partially also because she despises MC for his lack of success; she doesn't need to be on mcs side all the time, but she also shouldn't be completely in evil guys camp either). No cheating behind mcs back, the evil guy can just dominate the female love interest in front of mc. And maybe also other women, if there are more in the party.
So I'm hoping for some more interesting characters / storylines than "bad boy seduction" or "secret hypnosis puppet".

Netoria 2 is built around a core feature allowing any of the main four characters be the POV protagonist. So it's even less of a traditional NTR story. There is sort of a Carwyn analog in that they're the male character in an established relationship with a female character at the start so they have more to lose. But the story isn't built around making them miserable. It does have a lot more Netori though so maybe people will complain about the name less lol.

This POV thing isn't just a little gimmick that determines what scenes you see, it's a super critical feature that spills over into pretty much every other system in the game. Gameplay, story, what levels you can get, all change on different POVs.

This description seems unique and therefore a bit vague to me. Did I get it right that it's not a multiple protagonist, but a selected protagonist? So in terms of replayability, it's 4 playthroughs with the same narrative but different POV + variations + gameplay. Can you explain a little bit about player agency and story branching in this context?

I wonder if there is a way to make this concept easy to grasp for the general audience. I mean, when people see something, they should know exactly what to expect. Maybe releasing two POVs in a main game and two as DLC is the right thing to do from a marketing standpoint.

There is absolutely zero explanation in the game.

For now, it seems to me that the possible lvl up stat bonus is set for the beginning of each map and each turn.
Unlike Fire Emblem, it's not random and doesn't randomly change every turn.

Am I understanding correctly that Gwen/Carwyn can't grope but can be groped?
Can Vivian grope Gwen or Gwen Vivian?

P.S.
I would also like to point out that the fact that it is not possible to load the game during the fight is EXTREMELY annoying.
If you screw up a battle and you know you'll lose within a few turns, you just have to ALT+F4 and start the whole game over. Same when you get a REALLY bad lvl up.

For the recent update I'm glad to say this was the balance i want in every NTR. It's not just the fap but the happiness gained in that fap, Everyone is satisfied by their preferences.

I think those are game engine issues not sure if the dev can do anything about that. The game engine is very hard to use and its amazing what the dev has achieved with it.

The triumphant ending does feel like the true ending to me despite the fun I have had with the other endings. Shame about the Futa paths but at least there were some great 3somes in this path. The artist did a great job too easily the best art imo out of all the routes. Best of luck with the new game and thanks for at least adding this in before moving on.

Yes and yes. Gropes between Carwyn+Gwen and Carwyn+Vivian on the new route.

It's really not that complex a concept to explain. It's selectable protagonists, you can make any one of the four characters the main character and follow their version of the story.

Player agency is the same as the first game, routes are determined by what happens in combat and who gets groped. Each character has their own specific routes that can only happen on that POV.

You really shouldn't be needing to reload the battles over and over. There's no penalty for losing units and the later levels aren't hard enough that you need great stat growth and experience distribution to win.

Yes Gwen and Carwyn can't grope other people (for the most part). They're the "prey", emotionally the game is about the other characters agency, not theirs. And Vivian and Gwen are both straight and have no interest in each other sexually.

I know this isn't your intention, but this kind of reads as saying the best NTR is the ones where the MC doesn't get cucked at all and ends up with a harem haha.

You really shouldn't be needing to reload the battles over and over. There's no penalty for losing units and the later levels aren't hard enough that you need great stat growth and experience distribution to win.

Have you ever played any stat oriented RPG?


Players LOVE their stats.

If you get good stats during a new level, it's a really good feeling.
If you get really bad stats, you want to load the game right away and try again.

But you made it very difficult and annoying, as there is no "LOAD" button, or at least "MAIN MENU" button.
There is also no "QUIT" button, so if you want to quit the game during a battle, you have to use ALT + F4 again.

This just feels like bad UI to me.

P.S.
If the stats are not particularly needed, you shouldn't have made them random, but predetermined according to your class.
Playing the game would then be significantly less stressful.

So I got it right. When I said that this concept should be easy to grasp, I basically meant that it should be something catchy at first glance, starting with the preview.

Are the characters distinct enough? I mean, basically, do they have some kind of hyperbolic trait? Not only would it help to avoid "choice overload" from the start, but it also makes sense to have different character roles. And are there villains in the works?
