VN - Ren'Py - New Coral City [S2 v0.3 Hotfix] [HoneyGames]

In my opinion, this is one of the best games on this site. First of all it is a real VN and there is no unnecessary sh*t like traveling between empty locations or repeating conversations with the same people without any sence. There's no any grinding here. However every second something happens on the screen and you have to make choices. And each choice is important for your relationship with girls and for future events.
The game has drawbacks. Like the lack of a gallery of open scenes (I'm not sure it's necessary, but...) or a couple of errors in the text. However, I don't think they have any significance.
On the other hand, the girls are super-sexy, the story is constantly evolving and some choices really affect future events. I am sure that everyone will really enjoy this game. Just try it and you will definitely not regret it.

A diamond in the rough is what I would call this game if has a lot of potential with some cleaning up this could be a great game. Overall deffinatly a game that should be on people list to watch

• No gallery( probally the biggest flaw right now with how many different scenes and paths this game has)
• Easy to miss scenes
• The game has to many choices while following a VN narrative it would be served by being an open sandbox
• Unfished paths with girls arent noted before hand so if you go do a certain route with a girl you wont know if made the right choice or not in the current version.

This is a great game with lots of choice and characters. You can pick and choose and that's what I really enjoy about this game. You get to see several of the characters the developer had in his earlier games. Give this shot and see what the choices you make lead to. I look forward to the 1.4.

I've played this game (version 1.2) in the last days, I've followed only one path so I'll see the others in the next days. The game is quite good, the plot is very articulated (the number of variables he uses is among the highest I've ever seen) and the characters are really interacting with each other, based on the choices you make. The choices are not simply right or wrong like other games, but they often lead to different scenarios. It's not a mere sequence of scenes like many other visual novels. The models he has chosen are very fine, they feel quite realistic and diverse without any exaggerate proportions like we are seeing in so many games.

I've found some negative aspects:
1) too many severe grammar and spelling errors (DEV: at least use a grammar checker).
2) sex scenes are frankly bad, really too short, dialogues are not erotic, everything develops too fast (this is a common problem with most of the games scripted by males). This is a long and complex game to play so I expect the sex scenes, when reached, to be more gratifying, more developed both regarding images and dialogues.
3) images are not so good, model and poses are fine (I really like the chosen models and the body variety) but sadly the final renderings looks like as they were made a few years ago.

The idea behind the game and the plot are 5/5, the work behind it is really big, but everything else is not at the same level. Overall no more than 4/5, but there is space for improving (the frequent grammar errors are really annoying). I've played the previous game (Follower) by the same author and he really has improved in many aspects.

Are the animations and english perfect? No.

Does the content and story make it up for it? YES

5* based on comparison to the many trash games i've played on here. This is one of my favourites if not favourite.

It is one of the best games here. Please don't judge the author for his previous work. This game is truly a masterpiece. I can't understand why is still underrated but this game have amazing story and it's one of the games that the protagonist choices really matters. Lots of unique characters and everyone of them have own story, background and links with other characters in the game.

I have to say first that I haven't played the original version of the game, the only thing I tried wa the first demo/release. When I saw this reboot of the game I decide to give it a chance. I'm quite surprised how the developer worked on the gameplay, it is very smooth and you go from one chapter to another enjoying the content and the cast of girls, which is very vast, well-rendered (they all look like supermodels) and multicolored. The story isn't that complex, just works as connection between sex scene, though you can expect several hours of walkthrough, with a good space for a second run in which experiment another combination of choices. So for I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.

Love this game, the variety of choices and the impact of those choices really make the game.

Not very often is there a game I play where I can actually do most of the things I want to do, and am pleasantly surprised by what can be done with the characters. This game really gives that feeling.

It's one of the only games out there that can actually hold my attention for several hours and also be arousing... I hope the dev keeps up the good work!

The only "downside" is that there are too many girls... they are all interesting, but I don't see how one person can have the bandwidth to adequately develop so many plot threads.

This game is awesome, the sex scenes could be better maybe like it was in follower with the crazy girlfriend, but otherwise I enjoy having so much freedom in the game, I am really curious how some girls path will develop.

First of all, I'm not a writing-a-review kind of person, so I'm gonna apologize for not sticking to any "proper review writing styles" up front. I've looked over the reviews in here and quickly realized that some of the people have explained what I would've tried to in a much better way but since I really love this game, I thought I'd also give it a try.

What I’m attracted to is the setting of the game. New Coral is a city home for different branches of industries: First and foremost, the Fashion Industry (the Dev is from Milan, so you can expect a relatively close representation), Showbusiness, Porn Industry etc. and you have the choice to come in contact with these in one way or other. The MC is a professional photographer who's working for a Model Agency. I also like that there is a rivalry going on between New Coral City and another city called San Matthews which both have prestigious agencies, so your job is also kind of PR related to help make models sign with you and on top of that your boss also gives you a freedom to choose and find new models on your own, outside your field of work.

Now, normally I like to take a look at a Walkthrough while playing so I don't miss on any content but with this game I feel different. There are some hints and guides provided by the Dev and with the help of those, you slowly find out what is the right path for YOU and what is not. But at the same time nothing in this game is right or wrong. I hope this makes sense. I still sometimes go back to a previous save after having played half an hour to correct a "mistake" that only now has blown up in my face but things like that are what makes the whole gameplay experience worthwhile, not stopping you from anticipating what kind of repercussions your next choice of words will have in the near or even far future.

There are so many other topics I would want to touch upon but I’ll end this with one other huge plus for me which are the "close-to-real" character interactions. Like in real life, at least for me, (and I'm saying this from a male perspective) there are some girls you "click" with and can immediately start some kind of relation and others that you don't see a chance happening. And this game gives me that vibe which I think is very original and distinctive from other games I've played in here.

So, give this a try and I hope you'll have as much fun as I'm having.

I really enjoy my playthrough and the big Story you had created over New Coral City(Incl. your previous games too). I also enjoy the intox part in the game (incl. Melissa and Harley) and would like to see more of them in the future. A special thing for me was the possibility to become a porno producer and porno star. I like this feature a lot. All in one I must write that this game is one of the best game´s I´ve ever play in this genre and can just say: Keep on the good work!

Really like this game. Haven't played it since 0.9 and still haven't tried the reboot (didn't know it had one) but I really liked the realistic setting and story, not many games around here have that I think.

The creator's English isn't perfect but you can still see that all the girls have different personalities and they're not black and white characters (either slutty or shy etc.) which is one of the big, unique positives this game has. I've read a few people saying that the graphics are not top notch but I like them. In fact, all the girls look different to me, which is another big and unique positive this game has and others don't.

All in all, not the perfect game, sure, but I really like where it's going and one of my personal favorites for sure. The creator looks like he's working hard on this game so it can only improve IMO.

The game has been rebooted, but the old problems remain. Firstly -morally outdated renderers. Keep in mind - now 2020, not 2017. In fact, I'm sure -graphics is one of the reasons why this game can't become popular. About story and "gameplay"- It was so hard to make a normal sandbox as in follower?? About positive changes: Renpy and background music

lots of hot girls which Martina is my favorite girls in this game and among all other games.

After rebooting it and moving from Unity to Ren'Py it became a huge success for developers.

its story is perfect and you can make lot's of choices. sex mechanism is really nice and unique.

the only slight problem is that since the story is involved with some fashion works they should try design better clothes and they should try designing some stocking and more sexy lingeries.

This is a very good game.

There's a lot going on, your choices matter. The world feels full, has depth and the plentiful storylines are strong enough to hold your attention. The fact there's multiple interwoven narratives but a single constantly progressing timeline often leaves you frustrated but means there are no dead moments - you're never at a loss for something to do.

The characters all feel like individuals with their own motivations. The renders aren't the best out there, but they're definitely good enough and paired with the personalities make pursuing and getting (or not) the girls a lot of fun. Some of the girls are easy, some more difficult. The variable pacing is spot on.

I'm also a fan of the idea of sex minigames where you have to work to satisfy.

For all that I'd give 5 stars.

It's not perfect though: Although servicable the dialogue is often clunky and written in imperfect English. There are some bugs which prevent you from taking certain actions/going to certain places. Even though I like the idea of the sex games they aren't really varied enough and their implementation is only for certain characters some of the time.

Overall though I think the developer is doing an outstanding job, seems to listen to the community and is constantly improving on both expanding the world and further refining the gameplay. I expect a lot of my minor criticisms will be dealt with in the numerous and regular updates that the developer provides.

If that happens I'd up this to a 5 in a heartbeat.

One of the best games here. Constant updates and it feels like proper dynamic between characters. Lots of choices some better than others. Story is not that but its more like interesting characters with own arcs. Definitely recommend it.

Story is just ok , renders are a bit low quality at times and wooden.
Not a fan when I really dislike the Maincharacter and his buddy also some females are a bit annoying.
Felt very grindy to get to the storyline with Person X i wanted.
Does the fit girls really good.
Minor thing but most of the times the Tatoos look really bad, too dark and slapped on. The Good is it has many different Girls with high diversity to explore so that is a reason for replayability since you sometimes have to choose a or b and so on so i don't think you can unlock all relations in one go if ircc.
