I'd rather play with new content than play the same thing with a bit more quality. And he will do it for the first 15 days of the game. There is almost no content at the beginning of the game anyway.
Lol.. don't give him idea to reroll the project. It could finish by 2050..
I think we should also live with the possibility that the game or the development will be abandoned. HoneyGames has never been absent for so long. I hope nothing bad happened. But maybe there is simply no longer any interest in this hobby.
Oh yes he has, SEVERAL times.. he'll pop up when he feels like it with some "solid reason" presumably covid, family matters, natural disaster, take your pick..

I'm working on the game right now. just before christmas I got covid (not severely) and did a few days of forced stop (I wasn't able to work). During that week I realized how "burned out" I was. I took time off (also from work IRL) and rested. In the last few days I started working again and I am much more productive than before.
I have no intention of abandoning this game, for the simple reason that I never abandon (I still bullish on linden dollar). I certainly can't wait to finish it and be able to focus on other projects (always about adult video games)

Whilst I'm glad that you are ok I'm bummed for your patreons. They are putting money into your pocket, small or big it doesn't matter, you can choose to accept it healthy or ill. I'm not one of your patreons due to your past and present actions, so if anyone wants to call me out that is fine, I have a thick skin and sometimes I'm brutally honest. I don't see any excuse for not messaging your patreons since Christmas day, publicly or privately. It doesn't take much effort, it really doesn't and they are giving you money, respect them just as you would like to be respected if you were giving them money.
As far as covid goes, I've been in the mix of it all since 13th March 2020 as I work for a county health department and that was the date we started to shut everything down. I've seen the good, the bad and the ugly. I fully understand you being wiped out and needing to rest but I know messaging is a few keystrokes away. I'd offer to do your PR but if you could talk to me then you could message everyone........right?
Once the game is finished I will fulfill my promise to contribute to you financially (probably $50), the game and story are great, the PR not so good, nobody is perfect (and I'm nobody ha ha).

I totally understand what you are saying.
My main problem is that in real life I do a lot of PR for my IRL job (really a lot of grueling PR, I guarantee) so I often just don't have the energy to do it for my hobby as well.
I know, I would need a PR, like someone to help me with coding, someone to help me with translations. unfortunately the game (for various reasons) doesn't earn enough to allow me to pay someone to do these things for me and it's not in my nature to ask for things for free.
I can only hope to be able to work better and to stop having ideas to improve the game and thus be able to get to the end (I admit, I could have spared myself this "reboot" but it's stronger than me and I always try to improve the things I do, in the other things of my life this mentality pays off, I hope that one day it will pay off in this too...)
the only thing i can hope is that you will appreciate the huge effort i'm doing to make the game better, this way i will have the push to complete the reboot and the last 3 damn chapters of this story.
I have a lot of other stories in my head and I can't wait to develop them, in a more linear way than I developed this one.
So for transparency HoneyGames , are you still working on the "first 15 day remake" that you said you would release 5 weeks ago (early week 50)?
Or have du decided to skip that and release something more substantial?
Any non super vague info would be appreciated, thank you.

I don't want to offend you, but ultimately the Patreons themselves are to blame. HoneyGames currently has almost 130 paying members on PATREON. You have to ask them that question. Why are they paying? For almost 8 months without any update?
No offense but they are the stupid ones if they spend money on it.
i think you would be better off doing this completionist like first - say up to the day things get settled at the newspaper and you reach a sort of stable point with whatever girls anyone chooses - say 4-5 new updates
than add a perfectionist layer once it's done and re release on steam / gog with a few more gameplay hours and to a larger audience / cahflow
this would serve you way better than what you are doing now
also a message " i'm alive " every 2-3 days would not kill you
i 've in marketing and sales all my life , a lot longer than i care to think on ,so it's a sound advice

".there is nothing as good as proper dedicated marketing sales in building a dedicated herd of supporters... thats the thing i adore the most in humans history...and on porn-games level giants as icstor, scumdrop, braindrop, porndrop, moneydrop and many other successful devs utilize it to the max
dude there is a very big difference between 2-3 days , weekly and " fuck you i'll post next year" and then to tell you the november or was it october ? planned update will arrive as another reboot 2 week play say: in april, at this rate

Ask for free, there are many on the forum who would translate the game for free and help in other ways.
To be honest, this is the main reason you don't make money from Patreon. PR is 100% the reason that people make the big bucks on Patreon coupled with a good product, you have the good product but your game management and PR are completely amateur. I gave you two chances with my patronage but accepted it was a mistake on my part.
You communicate more on this forum than on your Patreon pages, as has been pointed out previously. I would love to support you positively but to be honest you tend to blame everything rather than yourself. We all live in a Covid world, I have worked through it more than once. You have a good product and a bad business attitude that's fine, it's your own life, but it's a wasted opportunity and if you do actually do a lot of PR in real life then Italy must differ greatly from all the countries I have worked in.

Output appalling due to one man operation trying to manage an enormously complicated game with little income due to poor use of resources (time and management of time) and communication
Possible solutions: Ask for help from modders / translators on here for free as I agree you don't make enough to pay even though you could have.
Or end up with no patreons and a release yearly, assuming you don't get pissed off and abandon all your extremely hard work.
My one-man business became an employer of 900 worldwide, yes, it took a long time, but almost all of my mistakes were time management and not knowing when to release control of everything that could be done better by others whilst I maintained the core of the businesses
