The problem is not the time. The problem is he said the next update will be out in 4/5 days. You can look it up in this thread. He always gives this ridiculous estimate. 4/5 days is 4/5 monthes
I was very surprised. In a PATREON post in late March - early April he said (pretty sure April 8-9). Basically, I can understand if (especially in Corona times) other things are more important but miscalculate so much time? Or did he mean April 8-9, 2022? Joking aside...
As already mentioned, I stopped paying at PATREON. Just doesn't make sense up to date. As bad as that sounds, it would currently be a waste of money.

Every 4-5 months 1 update ... do not complain that there are too few subscriptions
Most games have the same cicle of development. Some have a longer one. I don't think that is really the issue otherwise some very famous VNs would have no subscribers. Also this is a complex game and it's not the main daily job of the developer.

The problem is that he gives release dates and misses them by weeks. If you can‘t be sure you can release at a certain date, don‘t give a release date. Just provide updates on the progress so people can make their own estimates. Of course every developer can follow a different strategy, but repeatedly missing release dates leaves a bad taste.

Nonetheless it‘s still a good game and the developer seems committed to see it through. People just need to stop getting hyped up about the next release. If it‘s here it‘s here. If not then it‘s back to the waiting game. It‘s not like there aren‘t any other games one can enjoy in the meantime.

There used to be a bit more, now they are really few and far between.. best case scenario we see 2 good releases in a month, more often then not just 1.. there is obv a shitton of the really awful games you could rinse through but why bother?

The steep deline in output has finally gotten me to start playing "normal" pc games again, so it's not all bad :)

This is a excellent game, and he is a very good developer, but he is an extremely poor communicator, which is a shame. If he developed even 5% of his dev abilities into communication he would, and should have much more supporters on Patreon I might even consider re-patreonis-ing him (might)

I still think this is one of the best games on F95 after MR PINKCAKES stuff, but MPK scores big as he has immense quality and decent communication skills generally meets every deadline thus keeps most of his supporters. MPK not popular on here but he does not need to be.
If I hoped for something it would be a more professional attitude to Patreons from this developer, and he would really deserve many more supporters on Patreon. It would be hard for me to re-support him though as I was a Patreon of his for a long time but became increasingly unimpressed at his communication. Delays are part of development, but they need to be accurately communicated.

Anyone who really like this game should at the very least sub him $1

Its not a Language barrier he is Italian, I am Japanese so anything is possible.

one thing i don't get, and i have followed him for several years, is why he doesn't hire a part time coder to let him do the renders and story and work as screen play writer which obviously is his vocation?
a couple of months would be hard than with faster release patreons would quickly rise !!! and the budget would balance
i'm willing to bet he could recruit coders even among fans

I am sure if someone offered their services even from this forum where there are many really good coders he would consider it but people need a lot of trust to share their projects and Language can be a barrier though in the time we live in discord would help imensely

I got 2 words for you: Reallife & Corona.
I know that , and dev was clear about it affecting its real life job , the game being more of a hobby than job, but i was asking if gave more info about 1.55 as a standalone patch or now incorporated in 1.6? Honey has a habit of poor communication , which lets be fair takes 5 min at most to post a feedback.

I have posted several times on my patreon.
I put the private posts simply because every time Patreon creates problems for the images I upload (even if the characters are dressed).
The 1.55 release is only for Sunday of week 15. but it's a busy day, culminating with the Party.
The party is an event that has a code of 20/30 thousand lines.
To give you an example: a "typical" day of week 15 has a code of about 2 thousand lines (plus external events, for example when you go out with a girl or you call her at home).
So it is only one day but many things happen and there are various sex scenes.
That's why it's taking me a long time, to do the math, for number of lines of code it's as long as a normal release, maybe longer.
co0me as usual I can only tell you to be patient and I hope that when you play the finished game you will understand the efforts I'm making (I think anyone who knows a little bit of programming and has seen the amount of stories that are included in this game knows very well how complex it can be to manage everything).

About real life and corona.
Things are not so bad, of course, the fact that there is a curfew and that I can not go out at night, go to a concert, go to a restaurant (now I can, since about ten days) is making me a little "sad" and I get distracted very easily. But lately I've been working at a much higher pace than I used to.

I'm hoping that in time my patreons can come back to support the game, but it's not something I'm overly concerned about. I'll keep making games anyway (and for sure the next ones will have a little shorter and less complex stories, so I can finish them faster).

I can attest to the code thing as I use the source code as a sort of walkthrough while playing. I always keep the current day open and switch to necessary files for example for sex scenes. Allows me to see which answers give points and which variables unlock certain conversations or paths.
Well I can skip over 1/3 of the code as that is porn manager stuff which I‘m not interested in
