So if i make game thread about this, the prefix would be " UNITY" and "RPGM" Right ?

imo that would be not useful for us. Unity itself can behave like framework. (when you installing a lot of packages and not all packages you want to use.) this is why we can have more one prefix. For example "VN" and "Unity" prefix. Many user simply using plugins made from outside or third party for example fuwa novel.

and in this case RPG MAKER Series has 30 years of identity. They decided to use UNITY because it will extend the capabilities of RPGM. I think it would be useful to have double prefix so people will know this game made using RPG MAKER UNITE which based on Unity.

Probably it is just an Unity extension, but I can't wait for it, the freedom Unity gives you (+the easiness of the rpgm toolset) opens completely new horizons

I would just be Unity. This is not an engine, it's just an editor made by a third party borrowing the RPG Maker name because it's an easy way to get clicks.
well it's not really third party since Gotcha Gotcha Games (the one who self-publishing Unite) is Kadokawa' child company.

Kadokawa is the parent publisher of GGG
GGG was made so it' easier for them to update RM with the features without having to deal with bussiness paperwork

yes, but i thought prefix are not based only engines, right ? it based on existing popular engines, major genre in adult games, and companies.

well okay then, but depending on how RM Unite works it could be necessary to have it's own prefix. Can you consider that, staff ?
Unity is Unity, we will not start adding the Ren'py prefix to all the VNs made in Unity that look like Ren'py, and we will not add the RPGM prefix to a Unity game that looks like RPGM.

Plus, chances are nobody will porn in this thing.

As an example, was already used in some renpy ports.
It basically converts the RPGM game into a "point and click" renpy game with images from the rpgm engine.
But those games are still just labeled as Renpy because that's what they are and it would be misleading to add another engine prefix.

If you don't need to play it isn't an RPGM game, simple as that.

Ok that is fair. I also seen Ren Py game converts to RPGM.

If you don't need to play it isn't an RPGM game, simple as that.
Saying " if you don't need to play, it isn't an RPGM game" isn't 100% accurate since RTP only used for RPG VX or RPG VX Ace.

RPG MV or RPG MZ which based on pixi.js and Node.js does not need RTP.

I'm pretty sure the rtp is still there, it's just inside the game by default now because it is less of a hassle.

But regardless you know what I mean right, the engine that is running everything is what matters.

Oh well, I thought this new RPGMaker makes it modding and translating game much easier tho...
