Technically even written words fall under their obscenity laws though - not that they seem to be used to prosecute, but there have been lots of concerns. I agree that the dev is likely using this as an excuse, but that is the reason that they stated in the past.

I mean with the content already existing in the game the consent is extremely dubious. You have the "crying out in pain, ask to be gentler, get ignored," impregnator npcs and their events, there's the various drunk text variations and events, the evil hypnotist. A lot of this stuff, if it isn't explicitly noncon it is certainly implied.

Are you playing on the newest version? Because previously that's as far as it went, but apparently with this newest one you can actually date her, but I haven't played this version yet, so can't confirm how it works.

I actually worked it out. I think you have to choose the meaner/more dominant options to make any progress. Unfortunately, the result is that when you date you end up with the descriptor of your relationship being rocky.

Thing is, he gate keeps events which kneecapped the game. If they are add-ons then he isn't legally responsible for them. He just wants the power to control what goes into his game. That has stifled people making events so now there isn't much of a community for it. So we have this meme of a game, instead of a framework for creative people to make cool stories.

Is there ever gonna be a mod or offshoot of this wherein you can play a male through the game? One would think there would already be something like that after all these years or at least a similar kind of game, but I swear the closest equivalents are Night Games, and Lilith's Throne. And the throne gets overly complicated for my tastes... Think the other one is abandoned.

One of the biggest drawback of this game in general IMO is while a goodly amount of content exists. the flags for triggering many are obscure and/or mutually exclusive. So it is possible to play this for quite some time and find very little content.

Without a doubt. I love games that gate content behind different playthroughs, so you don't see everything at once. Especially if a playthrough isn't even all that long. But this game has so many modifiers and RNG-based setups that, yeah, it ain't fun. And even if every star aligns, even when you made characters perfectly for the new scenes, it simply might not trigger. Or you have to play 20 weeks to meet them. And so on. It is infuriating.

Oh I agree with you entirely. The legal issue is a ruse - but it's a primary excuse that SO gave about constraining content. The language of "publishing obscene content" provides cover to someone who doesn't want to open the game up.

You can't. If you're asking "is it possible to talk to your lesbian wife about having kids and then discuss IVF or the natural way with a donator" that's still not in the game though it makes sense that it might be added soon.

I just did my first quick playthrough. Some questions and comments before Round 2:

• Is there any group action of any kind? (EDIT: Bizarrely, minutes after I posted this, I got a threesome for the first time in 54 weeks of play)
• Are there any more events at the party besides the two party games (ending in kissing, oral, and a possibly-rare kissing-to-sex) and possibly pulling/being pulled aside by someone for 1v1?
• Is there any kind of an endings or event tips guide I've missed? I don't need to know the specifics of the endings or events, but knowing some general guidance of things to repeat if I want to get RNG in my favor would be nice. E.g., "allowing yourself to be filmed will open new events"

No.

It would be easier to write a new game from scratch than to change the current game to have a male player character; every aspect of the game is designed, coded, and written assuming a female PC. If you want "Newlife but with a male PC" you'll have to make it yourself.

If you're dating/married to a guy, he never attends the sexy party games so it just never comes up. He also doesn't seem to notice you pulling the entire male population of the party into your room one after another, so I think he's a bit dense. If you're dating a woman, she can attend the games but no comment is made about anyone cheating when you or she blow some dude right in front of the other. I think SO just forgot to check for that condition.

I think characters have changed a little bit since this was last updated though. You might be better off using the included guide.
