It's a sarcastic "SHIP" between two countries, used for many countries that has experienced a significant demographic shift.
I know, this is a joke in itself, but how were the updates of the game for the past 2 months? Anything worth taking a look at?

I think he's either finally abandoned the game, or he's died. He's always been lazy but he's never been unresponsive for this long.

There's no way this is abandoned. The developer would have to be insane to let it go. Literally all they have to do is add two lines of dialogue and fart out an update to keep the cash flowing.

I wish they would abandon and release the source code so modders can rehaul everything into the game we all wanted like modders did for Lab Rats 2.

even discord and patreons heard nothing from SO for months. last post on kemono they say they have anxiety, maybe theyre admitted, voluntarily or otherwise, in a psychiatric institution somewhere, those places usually restrict your contact from the outside world - no internet, phone limited. either that or they are eternally resting
damn, i always avoid joining porn game discords so i figured if they were alive they would be hanging out there like innoxia does. guess it's poetic irony that on the update cycle focused on making money matter for the PC and NPCs, SO takes the money and runs.
oh well. if this game finally breathes its last after years of slow death, going out with that awesome hypnosis content isn't the worst way to die.

Thank you all for a good game, guys, see you in Newlife 2. But seriously, I really hope that someone will use this mechanics with AI, it will be very interesting to take a look.
It's always so damn off putting any time any developer complains about some real life issues.
In this games case it was anxiety and migraines.
I know I sound like a dick but...
They will be like:
"My dog died." or "My mom is sick." or "My girlfriend has cancer." or "I broke my leg." or "My house caught on fire.' or "I had to go to grandmas funeral." or "I got mugged." or "My car got a flat tire." or "I have been dealing with heroin addiction." or "I been going through a rough divorce."
Same goes for positive things that may have happened to them.
"I just had a baby" or "I adopted a new dog." or "I got a promotion at work." or "I got married." or "I bought a new house." or "I won the lottery." or "I love my new car." or "I found jesus!"
My response is always the same.
I don't care unless this effects the update and production of the game. I don't want excuses. I want a game update not a life update.
It may seem cold, but it's really not. Patreon is not GoFundMe.
I don't go on Patreon to support sob stories. I go on patreon to support game development.
It is as off-putting for me as if I went to McDonalds with the goal to order some chicken mcnuggets but the cashier instead of serving my mcnuggets in an expedient and efficient manner throws professionalism out the window and decided to just tell me their life story and about all their problems.
"Yea, that sucks.... Good luck with that! So... them nuggets ready or what?"

Well, despite the frustrating glacial pace of updates it's still quite disappointing to see this finally be abandoned.
The base game is pretty much done but it's a unique concept with a lot more to offer. I went to check the discord & saw some suggestion from 2021 I believe about having different types of NPC beyond their personality type, based on their job 7 what not. Another suggestion for adding family, like a step dad, which I mentioned in past comments here as well.
I hope some other non-lazy devs tries to replicate it.

Imagine making filthy amounts of money from two days work a month and then just abandoning it. Well he still has over 500 patreons wich is like 3k a month or even more. There are people on patreon that just keep getting payed years without doing anything ... maybe i should just learn how to make a porn game...
