Well that's funny all people disagree about his choices and yet they pay him. The people who pay decided they want more pregnancy content and well he added some, maybe not much but looking at the amount of paying patrons not changing much lately it seems they are content. And for the rest of the fanbase, they might show him how they think he should work but he doesn't really have to care about their wishes.
Before making dumb STATEMENTS do some facts check.
I don't know how about you but if I would strongly disagree with something I wouldn't be paying for it.
F95 is just a place for us cheap wankers looking for free usually pirate content. Nobody really cares about our opinions here.
Have you seen the discord? Not only patrons but also the mods complain about the horrendous pace, this isn't a novel conversation we're having here

Games are art. And like all art it should be criticized. Choosing who gets to critique the art based on wether or not they've paid for it goes against everything art itself stands for.

Really? Is there any dialogue at all regarding events? Slowly seeing stats go up or down and then randomly seeing an NPC fucking another NPC (Do you even have any influence at all? I don't know because I never played modded) without any backstory (Which is my impression of what it would be) doesn't seem "better than newlife in every aspect".

Then again I have been surprised with modding communities before so I wouldn't say it's not possible (perhaps even relatively easy, but just seems so "un-like" sims), but I am definitely skeptical :p
Downloading the game, the mod, and all the content (outfits, skins, and sex positions are all separate addon/downloads) is kind of a pain in the ass. While site has a list of links to tons of content that you can download; it still will probably set you back at least an hour to get everything running properly depending on how many content packs you want to download and your internet speed. I’m assuming you are talking about Wicked Whims then in that game you can tweak the in-game settings so all your Sims are horny and they’ll have sex with anyone, anywhere. Or you can set tweak it where the sex content is just a replacement for the “Woohoo” and you’ll need to get to that point by raising their love stats like in vanilla Sims 4.

I feel to get the most out of the Sim 4 mods is to sort of use your imagination and use your own head canon for the scenarios since you are the ones making the Sims and locales. It also depends on how you see yourself playing the game. Are you playing it just a porn game with character and building customization or are you playing it as a Sim game with sex content? If you are looking for the former, while the amount of content is limited to what you are willing to download, unless you have a good imagination; it might get old after a few times.

Yeah but games are also products and you listen to your customers and not some people who bitch about your products when they didn't even bought one.
It's like people who can't afford a performance vehicle bitching about it not having a manual transmission. They can have their opinion but no performance vehicle automaker will take it into account, who cares. If a bunch of customers would told them that then that would be a different issue. This is how every industry works. First you always stuff to your client base because if you loose them your fucked than you listen to others and try to expand.

1. It's kind of like a spectrum. On one side is "actually trying to have your game be good, in spite of losing money over it".On the other is "treating your game like a cash cow". You have to try to find a balance. SO isn't accomplishing this well.

2. The automaker example is a bad one. Automakers actually listen to non-customers' inputs, as well as leading industry critics (you don't actually think every industry critic working at auto media publications buy every vehicle they review, right?), because the purpose of a business is to make more money, and that means finding new customers. They can't just pander to existing customers, they have to convince new people to buy their product, and that means listening to their input.

3. SO isn't new at this. This game has been in development for years. They shouldn't be on the "securing customer base" phase anymore. And nobody should have to hold back on critique just because they can't figure out how to expand their product into a wider playerbase.

Major changes & additions:
  • Men can now film you during (PiV) sex: either with your prior agreement or sometimes without. Such videos can also be leaked online.
Minor changes:
  • Added some text in some situations when returning to the club after having sex.
  • Adjusted the numbers around condoms breaking to make it a bit more likely for less vigorous men and increase the effects of the condom-damage trait.
  • The bastard decision scene now has a path that lets you dump a bastard boyfriend.
  • Significantly reduced the weight of starting the pornoshoot scene chain unless you've had porn videos leaked online before, and it's particularly low if you lack the sultry trait. However, once several videos have been leaked the weight will become higher than it was in previous versions.
  • Doormat NPCs will now look insecure when they approach you in the club. There's probably lots that can be done to expand club approaches, but this at least gives players a hint about that trait and will hopefully make his reaction to infidelity seem a bit more expected.
  • Added a few extra npc dialogue lines in the makeout scene for when you're trying for a baby with your partner.
  • Reduced the effect of high liking on whether an NPC will want you to become his girlfriend.
  • Made it less likely for a man who doesn't want kids to ask the PC to become his girlfriend if she's pregnant or has children.
  • Added some new text when a man who broke up with you before wants to get together when you're trying to make friends. Thanks to Ptera for flagging up this situation: along with the above changes to the girlfriend calculation this should hopefully improve how that situation is handled.
  • Added an impregnation-themed NPC speech action option to the nightclub.
  • Pressing the delete key in the outfit screen will now delete the currently selected outfit, as suggested by Morion.
Changes for user-submitted content:
  • Sex scenes will now set a results flag LOST_VIRGINITY when appropriate. This is removed when post-sex flags are cleared. It allows for more specific post-sex text in returning sections.
  • Improved tables-of-contents in some of the documentation following advice from Lost Trout.
Bugfixes:
  • Fixes to text issues. Thanks to OrangeJuice, Ptera, Saint Destiny, Luna and NoName for reporting some of these.
  • Fixed a bug reported by NoName where cuckoo babies weren't always being considered for disabling the “have three children” vow.
  • Fixed an error reported by HighLigerBimBam and L1L ST4BB13S where the concert scene could error if the PC is single.
  • Fixed some situations where agreeing to try for a baby wouldn't stop the PC from taking the pill. Thanks to Frozen Summers for reporting this.
  • Fixed a bug reported by Luna where a man could receive successive oral sex from both the PC and an NPC when winning a round of blackjack.
  • Blocked the “get her tipsy” action when helping an ugly male friend get laid if the female NPC is pregnant. Thanks to Stochastic for reporting this oversight.

okay ...

Not to be a negative nancy, but I think this basically confirms that the delay was purely because they just couldn't be bothered to do anything last month right? I mean this is weaker than even a lot of their monthly updates. They couldn't even be bothered to make it possible for NPCs to want to film during BJ's or anything that isnt PIV.

So what is the official reason that everyone says when he releases amount of content each release? I always hear his support mention that the game is programed in a way that it takes so many variables to make flavor text that it is always a hassle getting new content to work properly with the existing stuff? I mean most of the content we see in the past few updates are pretty much: extra flavor text depending on some thing you did and bug fixes. I was told that a scene that takes a player 2 minutes to finish would take days or weeks to get working properly.

As a game maker myself, I know that an incredible amount of work can go into a new build of a project. It takes a lot of time and love. Under the hood, this game is more complex than a lot that I've peeked at the code of. That said, even knowing what I do about game development, I agree that this game's growth has been a bit stagnant for a while. Hopefully we'll see a bigger build next month.

Even then that doesn't make sense. For example, the only notable events added 'lately' (using that very liberally) that aren't fan made are the helping your jerk impregnator friend impregnate a girl events. The dude has to have a very specific set of traits so there's basically no variance there, and there are only three types of npc girls, innocent, party girls, and sophisticated, and even that took two months of updates and the sophisticated one still isn't done.

For most devs, that would have been a 1 update endeavour.

The game code is a mess, and I sympathize with them having to deal with that, but that only takes you so far, and if it is really that bad, then SO should just rebuild the game from the ground up.

A major update that could have been done 3 years ago. New text flavor. 2 months of work. Watch as next month SO claims he broke his left-hand pinky cuticle and can't code for 6 months but please keep up Patreon donations in his desperate time of need.

Either rebuild the code base, stop being a lazy bum or let more get involved. Oh wait, the latter would impact those shekels.

I have no issue with other games slow development, most are passion side projects and get worked on when real life allows, but SO was making better money than most others day jobs and you can see development slow right as peak shekel intake happens, but instead of being an industrious fellow and getting to the grind and making content we get whining and Discord hijinks.

I don't even care about new scenes right now. A lot of the fun of New Life is the creativity of putting your character in new places, but we haven't even had that chance. I don't think we've had a new location since the cooking classes and that's moot at best.

I really wish the job section was fleshed out a bit more. Like even one or two more jobs even if they don't have functionality much. Would open up more creativity. But right now we're stuck with sales position and it's kind of boring now.
