You know you can grind for cards and get stronger by doing skirmishes (Battle grounds on the very far right of the area) right? This game isn't playable. Sure, it functions, but it is incredibly unbalanced. When you start the main story, you can a maximum of 25 deck points, so if you only use cards worth one deck point you can take 25 damage. And you're expected to fight opponents that can take more damage, deal more damage, make you spent mana getting rid of cards that drain mana, give themselves more cards with nearly every card they play, and more. This isn't a strategy game; it's a "use the cards that punish you long term" game.
There's no combination of cards that can even semi-reliably best an opponent that adds 5-15 transient cards every turn, turns the cards not in your hand into transient cards, and then does destroys all your transient cards and does damage for every card destroyed.
One of the opponents plays cards that both add cards that prevent you from acting while more cards to their own deck. They have enough mana regen that they can reliably add more cards to their deck than you can destroy even if you don't draw the debuff cards. They also have a card that deals 30 damage, which is more than cards than you can put in your deck.
And to top it all off, despite most enemies being able to be exorcised by them drawing their last card, all the monsters that really need that method to take them out get more cards every turn if they only have a single card left when they go to draw.
You can't call this a puzzle game. If you want to make a game with forced corruption that is impossible to avoid, that's fine, but put it in the game's description.
I think that's a bit harsh. Though to tell the truth I enjoyed the challenge. You know you can grind for cards and get stronger by doing skirmishes (Battle grounds on the very far right of the area) right?
You're complaining as if this is the hardest thing that entered your mom, but the game is fairly easy once you understand the enemy and the cards provided to you. I beat the whole story with my strat here that does a 60 burst to the enemy by proper set up of a mere 7 cards.
Yeah, that was harsh of me. In correcting my tantrum, I'm removing my insult.I think that's a bit harsh. Though to tell the truth I enjoyed the challenge.
