That's good to hear your take, I went in just assuming people will not care much for a fail state and that it would amount to needless work on top of all the things I still need to do. But now I'm thinking it will be worthwile to add something in. This also extends to how I have planned the upcoming dates too. At one point I was asking myself; would it be annoying if there's a possibility that you can't get the girl you wanted or get rejected? We play these games cause we want to get to the sex scenes, so how frustrating will it be if you go down a path that locks you out of one?
My original plan was to have it near impossible for you to go down the fail path (you'd have to pick all the bad choices), I wonder how people feel about the possibility of being rejected by a love interest.
I will add some lower stake routes like saying the wrong things will mean you miss out of some additional contents, but maybe the ultimate choice whether you get to have sex with a love interest will always be open (unless you really pick all the wrong choices).
