yeah, but speaking of paypal it is owned by conservative republican, trump supporter who is against using paypal for adult content. most porn sites can't use paypal. also, some years ago when i wanted to support one dev on patreon paypal didn't let payment. patreon explained it was due to adult content i wanted to support. so that might be reason why paypal canceled nopy.
however there is still a slim hope that nopy will find alternative

Its not that easy. First of all they will not get any frozen funds back from the old account.
Paypal can also just freeze the new account before they could cash out eventual donations.
They would have to have a different Bank account so paypal doesn't notice it as the same people.
This could happen all the time and any time.
This would be a lot of work, and might even cause other problems with law.
I am sure the nopy team thought a long time about how to resolve that and, for now, they have not found a solution.
when are torrents going to become more normalized here?
DDL has some advantages compared to torrenting.
Main problem with torrents is that someone has to keep seeding, and best case multiple people. So if something gets a bit older the torrent will just die.
Also a lot of users don't know how to safely use a torrent i would assume.

Damn.... I'm very sad for this. Mostly All the games I downloaded in F95 so far was thanks to Nopy...great service from them truly, They will be remembered for sure. In any case I hope for their return or a replacement.

It's a publicly traded company. If you are referring to Peter Thiel or Elon Musk, they founded the company but haven't had anything to do with it for 20 years. The current CEO and chairman, Dan Schulman and John Donahoe respectively, don't fit your description either.

thiel... didn't know he was out. but no adult entertainment support policy was still active couple of years ago. looks like is still on.
Actually they partnered with multiple Democrat organizations during the month of July to crack down on what they (the democrats) considered to be extremist or hate groups, which would include many porn websites. Anytime users are allowed to post content on their own, there will always be some content that some people will deem inappropriate. Those people are the loudest voices right now. Some of the animated adult content includes some very taboo subjects and content. Just think of what particular group, in recent years, has been throwing around the most allegations, speculation, lawsuits, and in some cases actual proof. Then try and figure out why that group might have a problem with some of the animated adult content.
That aside, wish you wouldn't bring up politics; neither side is honest, neither side is right, and most are just ass/job covering, cherry picking, fact twisting opportunists.
Paypal has never been a friend to anyone. They are just the unessential middlemen, largely being replaced by apple/google pay, crypto, etc. Paypal made a lot of money over the pandemic, but are now bleeding, and are needing to construct some moral high ground to try and shore up their blockbuster video leakage.

I truly hate how many obstacles there are to free market, where you should just be able to more easily give money where you want it to. Fucking paypals, card companies etc dictating what is okay and what is not. Its my fucking money, let me spend it how I want, whats it to you? Stupid murica.
