You can use mouse also, just click where MC should run and they will do it avoiding obstacles

So, I was trying this game out and I feel like I am completely lost on what to do/what I can do and I don't know if it is because i messed up in a choice. I can't seem to progress the story at all (part 1), I can only take the bus to the three locations and I apparently can't go to class because the hole under my seat isn't dealt with and I am just struggling to find anything that can move the plot forward. Any help?
