I'd use only one word to describe this game: inconsistent.
The art is inconsistent: The main character has an overworld sprite that looks nothing like how they look like in cutscenes. A lot more shading and thicker lines than what we get, which is something I think is caused by adding new art over the years without tweaking the older stuff - leads to a lot of the old art looking plain ugly when you compare it to the newer stuff.
Gameplay is definitely inconsistent: Half the button presses don't register, the game freaks out if you do too many things at once, can't load saves in-game and you have to restart the game to load saves from the main menu, all the button mashing (and on the 5 key for some reason), and the time of day system hurts the game's pacing; and even introduces some bugs (like entering the bar for a side-quest, but being forced out after it reaches midnight, locking out the bar entirely).
The writing is inconsistent: Half-assed instructions done by someone whose first language isn't English; a lot of grammatical and spelling mistakes, or just weirdly paced or put together dialogue that is just not natural to the English language. Lots of "is good"-isms. Tone is all over the place - the game wants to be a sex simulator, but the story is trying to be deep, dark and edgy at the same time-- it all just clashes.
There is potential here for a great game, but in its current state, that's just not possible without a huge overhaul or restructuring.
