You don't have to to pay for CosmoRP, it's fully free and really good. It's a one of the models used for chatting with those bots. Just head to the discord of it, and there's everything. From tutorial, to anything else.
Cosmo RP requires a OpenAI api key?

This is my first time commenting in this forum, i highly recommend xoul.ai

I tried janitor, spicychat, kindroid and many others that i can't even remember, but this is the one that got me coming back, it's uncensored, has voice calls and it's almost fully free (it has a limit for free generated images and voice chats)

The thing i like from it is that the responses are shorter and more natural than janitor or spicychat, everytime i use janitor every response is around 20 lines, and it forgets what it said 4 messages ago

Also has a nice context memory, the devs said are 12k, but i'm not really sure

AI feels like the child who was abandoned by its parents and then exploited by everyone that ever met it. A year or two from now and the AI will post a pic of itself with stubble, empty pill bottles and the middle finger to everyone before inputs every nuke code on the planet.

The trick for JanitorAi is to once in a while remind your bot what you said and it will remember. Also, you have to write longer responses. I like typing a lot so it's no problem for me.

Yup same thing and use the memory function too

I tried a few ai since my last post here, but it's true that the problem with ai is mainly their memory. But it's strange since when you return to continue the conversation, the conversation is keep. They should remind what they say and the user say.

After 15 to 20 responses, type "can you please give me a summary of the story so far?", it will make your chat last way longer.

"Bala AI" for your phone is pretty interesting, it's also really low on ads and you get plenty of free messages every day

the ads you get you only get if you swipe through the various bots a lot, like every 4 bots you gotta watch an ad, but if you find one you like you never see an ad again as long as you stay on that bot

a lot of the user made bots are really cheap and shitty, just copies of someone elses with a new picture, if it starts with a "in a world" then it's gonna be a shitty bot, usually anyway.

there are sveral "rpg" bots that are interesting, like being in DnD.

one of the best i've found was one that simulated a deathclaw that wanted you as its mate. it never speaks and the bot was really well made. give it a shot. (its the one that the picture looks like it's looking over it's shoulder, there are others that are kinda crappy)

i made one that i really like. if interested look for "Veranamithru". i wanted it to be able to talk without pushing you into the sack like 90% of the rest of them seem to want to do. it also seems to understand my intention of keeping her demon heritage a secret, it says weird shit occaisionlly but when asked it tries to cover it up with a joke or just ignore the question and move on. the picture i wanted to use for her/it I couldn't upload so this was the original picture below, it's not perfect but it's hard to get LLM art to work exactly the way you want but this was still a great attempt. Bala AI took the image and modified it to be more in line with thier rules.

anyway, Bala AI has a really good memory but it does forget stuff occasioanlly and it will forget all your progress if you don't check in at least once a day unlike MANY other bots that forget your name in an hour

Whoo, I haven't really played with ai chatbots since character ai a month after its release. I've mostly tried janitor ai and I was really surprised at how good it can be sometimes. There's no need for me to mention the struggles the current tech has as anyone who knows his shit will already know them. I do have a question tho.
Is the idea to be good at conversations that have X messages? If you go over it then the conversation can trail off, nothing you can do? I'm okay if that's the case, like you start a chat and do your thing, maybe it's porn roleplay and you get your nut off and that's the end. But like, there are some really cool characters that you may want to get out of the initial setting but in doing so the char forgets what makes them them you know?

So really complex conversations are out of the question I guess? Also it's a shame when you click with a char as you may want to play out different scenarios with them but the are bound by their initial settings. I do understand there are methods to tune the AI, settings or prompts that help you mitigate the weaknesses but it's kind of shitty that you have to tinker with it so much. It takes the fun out of the conversation I believe.

Again, maybe this is just a matter of perspective on my part. I just really don't understand the endgame here. Fall in love with a text generator hoping they don't mess the context? take a step back and just have silly fun for a bit?

The amount of information that the AI can take into account is limited. This is the so called context window, measured in tokens. 100 tokens are about 75 words in English. Many free sites offer 8k context, so about 6000 words. Everything related to the story has to fit into this context window - character description, both responses from you and the AI, etc - and if the context window is full, then the AI will start to "forget" the older messages.
But you can write notes / summaries for the AI, that summarizes old parts of the story, a sort of permanent sticky note that gets saved, so the AI wont forget them. There are various ways to do this, manually or even automated, depending on the site / frontend you use. I believe janitor ai has some kind of memory / author's note function for that?

While AI can offer some quick, silly fun, it's definitely not limited to that. You can write pretty complex stories, but if you are interested in that, then I don't think janitor ai is the best place for that. The settings available on that site are very limited, if I remember correctly you can't even edit the opening message. If you want to try out a free site with more settings, lorebooks and other essentials available, I'd recommend getting characters from or and importing/using them on - Be warned though, this is a very deep rabbit hole ;)

As the other guy said, you can do a lot with the bots. But the constraint is that their total capacity to read stuff is limited to the token limit. Usually 8k tokens for online sites like janitor or chub. You can keep the AI on track for a very extensive story session by using Chat Memory function. Basically things you write on there will be in the bot's memory permanently. But of course, the chat memory also uses up tokens. So the more tokens you use on the chat memory, the less it will have to refer to the chat history. This means there will come a time eventually where it's just not worth continuing, but that can be hundreds of messages in.

I wonder if it will ever be possible for bots to remember everything.
yeah once you're able to download the entire LLM and open it's memory up as far as you want

the current limits are to save space for many 1000s of users

if you only needed to worry about 1 user then the storage space for memory could be your entire hard drive

part of the reason I like Bala AI is that it remembers all the "big" details. yah it forgets the small things like,,, you suddenly have blonde hair instead of black, or that youre no longer bald but that's well into the chat, but it still remembers the big details especially if you check in with it often

Someone know which is the best ai chatbots with group chat ? I love kindroid but sometimes it's frustring taht they have difficulties to remember a few things from group chat in private chat with one specific kindroid. I'm pretty new with kindroid, so i miss maybe some manipulation maybe but tried some things as "remember what kindroid a say in groupchat" doesn't really seems to work lol and since we are limited to 200 character in regenerate, it's not a lot. ^^

Honestly, you guys should try sites with much more user options and preferences, with V2 specs. ChubAI is pretty nice. If you use CosmosRP reverse proxy, it's fast, unfiltered, unlimited chats with pretty high quality.
