I am checking Soulkyn out. My thoughts so far:

Pros:

• Site works well for the most part
• Characters seem curated
• Image generation is decent

Cons:

• Comparatively very expensive. What is base subscriotion functionaloty on other sites is locked behind micro-transactions or high paywalls
• Everything is gamified and monetized
• Your own persona and per chat persona is anti-intuitive and kinda broken

Meh:

• Roleplay as premium (25 British pounds per month (!) is short answers, very few options. Spicychat is probably better
• Other than site polish, I get equivalent role play locally on 22B model quants
• Uncertain polish advantages over privacy focused or local service

Haven't tried yet:

• Video generation
• Voice features

Thoughts:
I find myself wondering if the 'super premium ultra' 50 British pound(!) monthly cost tier is miles better than the already expensive premium tier, but I'm not spending that unless it comes with liquor and whores.

Nice post. As for me, Soulkyn is best overall package I've seen easily. The chat image generation with characters I've made, when making use of options that improve them, along with narration add a level of immersion that far outweighs anything I've seen elsewhere. I can't speak on whatever characters you've used.

Like I said before, super long answers come if you build the character in that way or give bracket instructions to a character that's not built that way (even without the Roleplay+ option). Pretty much anything you want comes if you build the character right or use instructions. I've never cared for super long replies anyway as it can make a conversation feel less organic, so I'm glad Soulkyn doesn't default to that style.

Also, to anyone turned off by this, I recommend you visit the Soulkyn Discord to see what the many long term users who have tried other services think. Premium channels won't be visible but you'll get an idea anyway.

Also just wanted to show an example of using a bracket instruction to adjust an AI to your liking. This is without Roleplay+. Use whatever instruction you want to adjust a character that isn't replying the way you'd like. Or if it's your own, you can obviously build it to be this way in the first place.

That's useful, but I have to say, the examples above are basically precisely the same ones that I get from any character. Cliche and smarmy. I went from a week of using Soulkyn excluseively back to using a local 22b Q4 quant of a Cydonia distil and a Leception preset variant and it was far better narration, variation without having to poke and prod.

I'm just not convinced a tthis point. I've been playing with Gemini Flash 2.5 and Gemini Unleashed preset and it has promise. I'll likely let Soulkyn lapse and use local or Gemini (It's free)

I purposefully picked a character that was simple just to show the example of tweaking short answer personas since that's a thing you mentioned. I did nothing in the creation to make it more interesting. Show me a screenshot of something you think is superior and I can create something similar on Soulkyn.

Reposting this other screenshot from earlier in the thread that a fellow Soulkyn user sent me again as I didn't specify that this wasn't even Roleplay+ either. She just built the character to be this way. She said that Roleplay+ made it "too insane" which I assume means too elaborate with the character:

I fall on with searching something (but i have forget what i was searching, probalby something new to discover).

I'm on this website since 16 june 2025. I registrer myself to test the chatbot after being amazed by the picture and the short video that we can generate.

So here is my opinion :

- About the subscription, 2 plan : one for each month 20$/m, or one for year9 $/m. You got the same things on both, except big reduction on year. Unlimited chat and you unlock picture, video, audio.
- The generation picture and video are easy to done and are really in my opinion really good. You have just to check each character to see the quality.
- Generation picture cost 5 coin, creater character 10 coin, audio cost coin (but i don't use it but the quality seems nice (i tried but when i see that it was costing coin, i stopped), short video 100 coin (it's expensive but quality is good). You recieve 1000 coin per month.
- you can create/talk with woman/men/transgender.
- You have some simple option to set the chat who work pretty good for what i tested.
Response length, you can choose between some level who will increase or decrease the lenght of the answer.
Lust level : You can set the arrousal of the character(5 level).
Pinned memories : You can write some important things that you want that the character remember.
Narrates actions : Include narrated actions and emotions in audio playback
background image : to show or not the background image)

I didn't changed the lust level (level 3 by defaut) and i adjusted the response length to the level above that one by defaut.

About the chat : You can speak in english and i tried in my language and it's pretty good to both. You can regenerate/edit chat of the character. When you regeneration the message of the chatbot, you have some option to pick as memory, or speaking for yourself and you can orientate the answer with your own words. You can remove the messages (to you and the character). You can edit your message of course. You have an option to generate picture of the moment (5 coin) and from what i tested, it's good.

About the character gallery : when you click on a profil character to chat by exemple, you can see picture or video generate as you can see with surfing on the website just as guest, but they have a media where you can see many images or video, the con you must pay to see them but i would say that's it not a big deal since you will probably love better to generate your own one.

Some chat will not go directly to "sex" dialogues. Probably based on the bg of the character. I loved that and i must say that some chat was really strong. In one of my recent chat,a lady from a certain religion (i will not say which one) was taking care of her garden, but in her descrpitions, i was feeling taht she was scared of someone and indeed she was. She was talking but nervous and was looking in the direction of her house and the window. I discover later, that she was beated by her husband and she was desesperate. I must say that that chat got me, no need to say why.

They have some policy and the chat have an filtrer underage by exemple, but the filtrer is sometimes a little bit strict (but seems update recently ? cause i got less warnings).
Exemple : In one of my message, i remember to say somethings like "5 years later, nothing changed ". I got a warning because of the "5 years" and changed in "five years later, nothing changed". I think they update their system because before, the message was maybe sended but removed with automatic filtrer, but now the error is indicate before sending and you can change it. I got recently less message warning.

As usual with all chatbot, i suggest to not give personnal information about you or your life in general.

At this time, you can do only one persona (persona = your character and background).

No group chat (but they aren't a lot of chatbot website who do that)


For now, i must stay that it's maybe expensive for monthly subscription (half price by year), but the quality of picture and video worth it. The option of chat is pretty good and text are good.The con, no possibility to create more than one persona, the filtrer was annoying when i started but maybe it was imrpoved because recentlyy got less warning policy. I took one month to try.

Edit 2 (1 july) : a few days later, the censor/filtrer is really annoying now. And for stupid things.

Exemple : I choose a character who was the girlfriend of my son in the rp. At one moment, she say that she got a thing for older men. When i asked her "If you have a thing for older men, why are you with my son"! Message filtrer/censored.

On an another rp, i was the landlord of one of my tenant in the rp. At one moment of the rp, i say "look, you should be a little more nice. I didn't abuse you when you offered your body, i give you my guest room, didn't ask you anything except doing some chores etc etc" (for information, in my rp, i say that i was seeing me (my roles) in her eyes at her age and someone help me in the same situation and so wanted to do the sames for her). Message censored because of the word "abuse".

So my opinion, the website have some potential but the censorship is annoying. Chatlog keep and could be sold. (but well if you don't share personnal informations/anonymous credit card/vpn...).

So it's worth ? With the censorship,sadly not, because it can go really wild (actually june). Pictures and short video are really good.Memory average, lot of character avaible done by the community. Some option nice (as the lenght of the answer/lust level). Some inconsistency reaction of the ai. (even after being nice with my tenant (exemple above), she was still talking sometimes disrespectfully even after saving her.

Not necessarily. Some people find it easier so they pay for convenience. That being said, I will never pay for any service like this, it's not hard to do it for free. I prefer to run it locally on my PC.

Not really since it's this thread we speak about many chatbot. (exemple soulkyn, kindroid, spicy, jan before etc etc). It was a review. But i will edit and make without link.

- Well all chatbot talked in this thread have paid service. So..... ^^ (except if your pc can handle some ai, but not people have an enoughstrong pc for that.
- Build in filtrer : well as i say, i wasn't interesting in underage/loli/extreme violence things as some in this tread, so i don't mind. It was more annoying when you say things as 5 years later and you must edit in five years later.

I tried before spicy, gpt,rprp ai, nectar ai, kindroid and a few other but except kindroid, the other are pretty always the same in their ai. And more their price is excessively high, and except right now ourdream that i tested for the features who was pretty good, i haven't a membership to any ai provider. (i must say i play with kindroid 2-3 month before because i loved their feature even if the con is the slow time answer)

In my opinion, it's not more as stupid that people who buy their game in kit, or buy a game where the tos say that the game don't belong to them or people who buy a skin 20$, or pay a streamer who do nothing than staying in his room speaking and thinking that their have the truth on some things etc etc^^

As long as you're getting what you want out of the service that's all that should matter (unless it's an outright scam, I've had minimal experience with a service that actually was a scam.). Sucks that you're getting so bashed for it. I guess I got off easy for personally preferring Soulkyn. I'm spoiled by the chat image generation it has so I don't think I could even use anything else at this point.

Yep you right, sadly they are a lot of scam or clone. And don't worry, i don't take it for myself^^ Some people say that too to other one on this tread. So i'm not taking it personnal^^ I tried this one, i find it not too bad and wanted to make a review for people on it.

But i agree than an ai will never replace a good roleplayer (cause specially right now the problem of memory), but sadly, the good rp player are pretty rare now.

The problem with AI is that it's never been that good with holding an in-depth conversation, even less-so when it's being used for ERP because its memory is so pitifully small. The technology will likely never get there, or at least it won't for the nsfw bot creators because they won't get enough funding to advance the AI's capabilities.

It depends on the model the sight uses. The free ones use LLMs with very short memory.

Check out a burner account and Gemini - it's free and has 1,000,000 token context length. I've tested it by stufing context history - it's still fast and recalls specifics from 500,000 tokens earlier if I ask about it.
