Ah yeah...that dumb trope...it's even worse imo, then i'd rather have a dense protag where it's centered around comedy...

If you ever wonder why so many Anime/Manga/LN etc, all end up having dogshit adaptations or endings, remember, it's this type of mindset that creates it.

The companies take advantage of idiots who'll buy this shit regardless of how badly produced the product is - and soon other companies follow soon with the same dogshit practices. It's the "Apple" effect. And tbf to them, why shouldn't they? It's the consumers that enable these company practices in the first place.

Same reason why so many movies and shows are zoomer coded cringe shit now too. Normalising this shit without criticising it is bad for everyone consuming the medium.

Might be too late for weeb mediums though.
