That part might make sense if Jill didn't really want to hurt Chadwick. IIRC, one of her characteristics is that she's kinda naive and good to a fault, unlike Leah. So she probably thought that a few light hits on Chadwick were enough to get him to stop. Of course she didn't realise that it was just an act from him to wear her resolve down.
Seeing the end of the patch is it fair to assume that the scene will most likely follow the NTRPG path? Because i really love how they handle the deflowering/fall to corruption in that game.

You are right about the sound effects. If there was one thing I was unhappy with when posting the update,
oh no i mean the overall future scenes will it be more like ntrpg?, i think the pace for now is right enough not to fast nor too slow so its right to stop at the end scene of that patch. Seeing the last scene it feels like ntrpg scenes, in which i like. hopefully there's more like those in the future and hopefully jill is more resistant to the corruption lol.

Dom't take this in a assholish or sarcastic response, but yes i know her character i played the game from the beginning to now. My hole thing even thing with that seen is, for her character in that moment should have been a little bit more of a sense of urgency. She's the one pushing against every other voice that their mentors are still alive so there should be a live of whats most important to deal with. While yes she doesn't what to hurt him but she is still hurting him by instead if just dodging she has already been causing him physical harm by counter attacking. She would do less harm just knocking him out completely, especially taking into account he's literally slowing down a rescue operation that she is the only one fighting for. It has nothing to do with her seeing through his act never insinuated that or stated she was smart enough for that. But she does having the cognitive bias to tell urgency and prioritize as we've seen from past actions. Also it herts more to punch someone for two hours straight than to actually punch them once and knock them out.
Logic sadlyhas nothing to do with it, if he had logic, 90% of ntr wouldn't exist because all of them exist in the realms of illogicality. Especially onces where ther MC is just super strong and the second a dumb ass touches or threatens the girl she should be going straight to the mc and watching him beat the shit out of the dude. Like seriously, how heroes in hero stories and defeating the demon lord stories get ntr'd especially when there are no curses, or magic just rape and blackmail involved really make little sense. Atleast in other where the one doing it is either physically stronger than the main character or possess positions of power or authority that even if the mc finds out, he can't fight back has some power backing to it.
one factor to all this is that chadwick has indeed been roughed up before. think it was when they went to that church and fought that bird to get that key right after they went to that village. cedric, jill and leah basically ganged up on him and beat him.
