I on the other hand believe the art doesn't have to be polished. Or better to say what matters the most is the game itself. There are several games with seemingly horrid art, but the content more than makes up for it. And if need be, art can get improved later on, once the game is established and the content is there.

I also think this art gets the job done, but that's a personal thing.

Honestly the art is not that bad. If this is the creators limit however, they can submit the art they drew to a paid artist and these will be some sexy character models yo!
