Im fine with waiting for new features, because obviously with implementing new features there's new bugs and delays. New features are usually great for games.

The part I hate is that it happens every update. Why does every update need some type of new feature? Why can't there be acouple updates that it is only story progression before a bigger one with new stuff? Surely now there's enough implemented features that we can work with those for awhile before thinking of something new.

Believe the last 3 updates all were delayed due to new features. Hopefully after this update there is a break from implementing new stuff for awhile so we can get normal release times.

Because many of the devs haven't worked with trello type development style, they should be working on a feature and only implement it when its fully ready and tested. Rolling out a whole update with an untested feature is incredibly dangerous to a project is basically like posion to a whole project.

I am pleading with devs, the projects should have consistent update, only roll out actual features once they are done. Not half baked ones that don't work. This will lead to tons of actual content and features will come as the project continues over longer periods of time. A feature should take 3-5 months of development time and the content itself should be consistent 1 or 2 per a month or at least once a month. This way you retain your user base.

I am pretty like disappointed how long its been since the game actually progressed the story.

Dunno but before I say I anything I will just make sure that everyone knows it, following statement will be a joke, don't jump on me again about that:
He also had again love path problems ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ like 4th updated in row, I guess it's sign that it should be removed

Some of you guys give lot of dirt to the dev for the delay but here is my take as a dev (not of nsfw games tho) whats going on. Guy really wants to make 0.20 special with lot of content and probably also wants to implement that transition buffer between paths (was supposed to be in last version) but its constantly buggy. But he dont wanna walk back on it so each evening he is like "one more try and I'll fix it" while in reality, sunken cost paradox is starting to really kick in and he should've just put the game into some playable state asap, potentially rolling back on some things and release it. Each day he gonna carry on like this he is only gonna acumulate more hate and achieve very little in return, while if he would just release it, he would have a full month to fix everything stress free.

TL;DR: Dont hate ondev too much. He is porbably just working his ass off just to give you really great update to this already great game (compared to other similar ones).

Am I hating on dev? I don't really interpret what I wrote as like... hostile?

I am saying that development cycles for games like this, producing content is much easier, developing new features takes time...

It would be better if he at least communicate about his doing (besides sometimes dropping something in discord) like that? Whenever he set a date for release he always seams to deley it, this time he didn't even said about date, then he was confident that it will happen till end of previous month, then 1-2days, then 9h and still no words (at least on his patreon because everything happend on discord) some of you might not like the way I think and that's cool, all I would like is some clarity on what's going on, will update ever happend? What's going? Why it takes so much time? And like that? No posts not even a single message on his patreon chat, it's annoying

Its basically the biggest problem with this game is how uncommunicative the dev is about plans and what they are planning and what direction they are taking the game, and what future patches and features they are going to do. Its just good communication.

When it comes to stuff like this, maybe radio silence + updates works better. This prevents people from forming expectations concerning when updates will actually drop and how much those updates contain.

Kinda makes sense to only have one (or maybe 2) platforms for updates. Having too many platforms to announce on might be too cumbersome to manage.
how shocking for Nosy to limit the number of platform where he does his PR to only one to simplify things. It's almost like you need people being paid to do exclusivly PR and CM :shocked gasp:

:ROFLMAO:

First big delay and everybody is like end of the world. Delays happens, sometimes longer than promised.
Also I bet 98% herre arent even subbed to his patreon. Why act like they own you something.
This is the third delayed update in a row and the previous update was split into two parts. If they kept to their proposed schedule we'd have 0.21 released by now. I don't think people expressing concern is an overreaction.

I don't want to leap to assuming malice, I think the feature creep combined with disorganised code is probably more likely, but either way they need to stop giving deadlines or start adding two weeks to what they think they can do.

As someone said, if it was only isolated incident sure, we've given them the benefit of the doubt before, producing games is hard, but I am a patreon (free mind you), but I've not seen crap about it in ages. The inconsistency sucks and you know the planning is not even there for us to know, hey this is what is next. Whats next steps for a game this early in development really helps get people excited. And I don't think we are freaking out just making statements known.

I know we always shit on non subs. But this is exactly why I stopped mine before for a different game. Third delayed update in a row. They used to always be 3 weeks for update. Then 1 per month. Now we are slowly pushing 1.5 months. With not even a post explaining delay in 8 days.

Imagine someone getting their first sub on the 5th after they played the last update. Excited to get the next update under their subscription and to play it right away. Just for you to basically waste it and need to do another month because of reasons noone knows.
