The problem is that some parts just don't make sense because of the mechanics, writing and plot devices in the game. If you want to build a story where the lovers path deals with emotional cheating, then you have to rewrite parts of the story to make sense. Matt should be dating Liz on dates when the MC refuses, appealing to her concern for her mother etc. Then story moments like that combined with the nanobots would make sense. If the lovers path is meant to be a struggle to keep Liz, then there needs to be some story elements and effort to introduce it. Right now, its using similar triggers like the NTR/NTS path. But the difference is, the story behind those paths and the triggers behind it make sense, unlike the lovers path.
100% There should be some indicator what corrupts liz on the Lovers path. It also just seems out of place when Matts "softer" side only last for like maybe a day or two, then he goes back to asshole Matt (this can be seen in the secret messages between Matt and Liz).
