Nah, dense and brainless NTR MC is a trope for the sake of laziness. Choice of the authors, because with that they can grab easy money without thinking too much about their stories.

Then emotes is a typo and it should be "emotions". It's pretty explicit it sends him just basic physiological data not unlike we can measure today, IRL, just without the nanobots. We don't have mind reading technology that converts thoughts into pink text cell phone message form either.
Do you also think that the MC has access to the cheating counter via her profile?

1. heart rate is indeed a physical reaction
2. emotes may or may not be a typo but i don't think it is - it's a variant of emoji
so it sends you emoji level info - eggplant, water, peach - "so big" "too rough" "swallow"
3. (since you know it was a list of three things) moods "you bastard - anger" "someone might walk in - fear"
it translates as well - that's why the matt's words are unclear in the early texts
nanobots are form of mind control! did you read the leaked texts on what they are doing? they are intensifying emotions and the ai adapts to the user which is why matts voice gets clearer as time goes on

Yes the nanobots are emotion amplifiers, but I am reasonably certain the dev has said that the pink text is for the player, not the MC. I could be misremembering.
As far as what MC and Richard are talking about, despite only playing it a few days ago I swear they all blend together, I was under the impression that all of MC's hand-wringing was mostly about their safety. He put nano-machines in his gf, then Richard comes by and says "bro, I got an update for these things! Let's do it!"
But let's assume it's as you say and we do in fact canonically see sex count go up, cheating count go up, etc.
From MC's perspective: Richard himself is telling him the bots are still screwy, he trusts his gf, has regular communication with her, and she's not acting any differently. And then he finds out the code is actually AI written too lol.
The few times he asks directly if there's anything bothering her he's waved away, so really what can he do, break out in a fit of paranoia, shout at her "I know you're cheating on me!?" and then be forced to just accept it when she denies it vs. risk breaking up with her? "But the nanobots I secretly drugged you with, that I'm also spying on you with via my friend's illegal activities, say you are?!"

the dev is going to tell the story he wants but i like swinging stories more than cheating stories so prefer self aware mc's . . .
if the mc used the nanobots to repair his brain damage he and the richard could start collaborating on way to bring down matt. sam knows what is going on and she could collaborate (and on lover's path she essentially takes liz' place)

if you are right i suspect that there was story revision at some point
or the dev is doing what the director of "the room" did - responding to criticism by pretending that the flaws aren't right there for everyone to see

i didn't read the 300 pages of pages posts before i commented
but if this is a 'mistake' that people make time and time again could the problem be with the game and not everyone else?
maybe maaaybe the text of the game contradicts what the dev is saying?
(if the dev did say it - no one has shown me quotes from dev)
i know this means believing that a porn game script could have problems

You can't have an NTR game without a willfully oblivious MC who can add 2+2 to make a living but can't figure out why his girlfriend has suspicious cream on her face. If any of these games were realistic, they'd be over in about 5 minutes.
So we are all here to collect pictures, as for whether the plot is believable or not .. . ..Who cares?! So I really can't understand why a non-essential plot can prevent a game from completing an update of less than 100MB in a month? How much of the 100MB update content can be attributed to program code?
