sounds similar to the issue with Henteria Chronicles 3: too long for the game so it's split into 2. the issue would be how to incorporate the choices made in part 1 into part 2.
lot of VN sequels have questions at the begining to select choices from previous game
might even simplify to NTR NTS LOVE routes

from what im gathering i thought i was on happy but was in fact on lovers. she was being blackmailed into some handjobs but i kept her satisfied and she never had sex with him. seemed like it all stopped shortly after i stopped the camping trip
I triggered Matt's chat in lover's path at the start and then dropped out of lover's path and then continued with happy nts

Yeah paths are a bit blurry I think. It's clearly NTR/cheating from the start but you can make her either embrace it or completely forgot it.
Same for the app. it says she's fertile, get a dozen creampies but no consequences and she keep saying nothing about her situation (being abused), no guilt, no stress. Just swap back being regular girlfriend like if nothing happens.
Love this game but gotta speed up the dev time. I stayed subbed between the last two updates. But claiming this update is big enough to justify its development time is absolutely wild. Even if you doubled the amount of unique content across the implemented paths, it still wouldn't be enough to justify the dev time. Absolutely should pick one single path and focus on finishing to maximize the content being put out.
Side note: Saying an update is big because you have multiple paths fleshed out during the update is just outright false if 75%+ of the content on the paths is EXACTLY the same.

I gotta say, I usually go full NTR path in these sorts of games, and indeed was doing so up until I think the last update. But during that update I restarted to fix a few issues with my save and accidentally got on to the "Happy" path instead and just rolled with it, and I find myself enjoying it even more than the NTR path. The Happy path (while named slightly strangely imo, but that's just me) has a great balance of the NTR mechanics with the MC and Liz actually feeling like a couple that love each other.
I rarely do the true love paths on these games (boring! True love and shared happiness? I want to hate myself afterwards dammit!), and I often get bored by NTS/cuck paths, but one thing those often have over pure NTR paths is that the MC and LI actually feel like they should be in a relationship. Most true NTR paths (including in this game) quickly devolve into the LI being so dismissive and avoidant of the MC that any chemistry they may have had evaporates. It makes you wonder why the LI even bothers keeping up the pretence at all and not just dumping the MC, because she seems to not give a single shit about him, for better or worse. It starts to kill the suspension of disbelief that is already flimsy in most phone-based NTR works.
The Happy path in this game so far has managed to keep the MC and Liz feeling like they still want to be together. Liz fights back somewhat against the corruption and shows at least some level of regret over her actions when she does something dodgy. Even when she's planning something bad, she shows she feels conflicted. And she doesn't entirely push the MC away and never meet up with him, meaning they can still build their relationship and there's potential for future growth. There are still stakes, and the idea that things might turn out differently. Things aren't a totally foregone conclusion we are simply waiting to reach.
Also I like that the "slutty best friend" trope is being subverted here and that Sam seems like a real friend that wants to help Liz, while still being a bit flirty and seeming sometimes untrustworthy (to keep the suspense up).
