I lurked in his discord and, to be honest there's to kind of people there:
- CCTV fans
- fans of his other games

CCTV fans are more vocal and more numerous because it was the best game he created and I believe even Retsym know that. He hit the jackpot with CCTV, but making the other games is his true passion. That's why I believe CCTV will be the last in the series....he feels so much pressure since CCTV 2 was not well received.

As someone who consumes normal ntr just as a side dish (for me its all about reverse ntr or the legendary yuri ntr), dlsite and some sites like ryuugames still upload some works daily.

If this is considered a drought, you guys have it well. If NTR dies, hentai in general dies first.

you cant be making a game with ntr, vanilla and nts and expect to get as much support as someone who goes full ntr or full netorase.

all of those genres have completely different audiences. i know some dev want money, but they are just losing it instead AND will get constant complain due to the fact the dude can't please everyone. idk why would someone want to do that to themselves.

I agree, it also seems like alot of devs just jump on ntr because they saw how popular ntr games get instead of actually identifying with the fetish. If you don't like it and pussy out the moment the community is angry at you for making ntr you don't deserve that spot in the first place imo.

I think some people may have become bored of vanilla so they look for their next "quick fix" without caring about genre norms.
They don’t care that netorare is best enjoyed with proper buildup, they see cheating and r×pe and that satisfies their gooning itch.
It’s like going to a tea ceremony and chugging tea without respecting the traditions around it.

The NTR tag is probably the most misused (and abused) tag here.
It really is a shame how watered down it’s become thanks to unscupulous devs constantly churning out slop hoping a sucker falls for it.

Yeah but you see the issue here is the patreon model where the game is released in parts. You're right that complaining about lack of scenes in a slow burn in chapter 1 is dumb but imagine the situation a person plays the first chapter and it is for introduction, that's good and all but the rest of the game isn't released they might feel blue balled since it is porn we're talking about and people are here to jerk off. And I'm not criticizing you in this case but speaking generally about the patreon game development and the problems that arise from it. I feel like so many of these side issues stem from the patreon cycle... But it's what we're stuck with I know there's no other way atm

Yeah patreon game development has downsides. People want to have content already at 0.1, so hard to make a slow burn. People look forward to every update, so they expect to be satisfied with every update. So again, you cant really have space to set things up, make a proper story structure.

So usually with these games that went on for long enough, they might be pretty okay update by update, but if you play them all together, its an absolute mess.

If you try to please everyone, you’ll end up pleasing no one.

Maybe my opinion is biased, but it's so simple: more routes = more development renders spent and less sex scenes.

Yeah, in the end, you'll theoretically have more scenes completed. But let's be honest, those who don't like NTR won't see the NTR scenes in your game. And those who like NTR will play your game only for NTR, and since you split in two branches, it means less scenes for them..
