The story already received negetive reviews when trial version was released. Really liked the art style. It's so difficult to find games these days with both good story and art.

I don't have the brainpower at this ungodly hour to give a proper answer to what made me like NTR, but i can answer the second part of your question easily.
I'm about 98% sure that the very first game that i played that had NTR in it was the first version of Adelaide Inn from NTRman back in 2019. After that i remember searching for similar games but back then i didn't know that it was the NTR that i liked about the game so i just quite literally searched for games that were as close to Adelaide Inn as possible, and that's how i found Inn my Wife, my second NTR game.
//not related to the question but the first like ACTUAL porn game that i've played (not counting the Meet&Fuck games on Newgrounds from when i was a teenager) was Summertime Saga, i have no idea how i found that game or where, but that was the game that led me down the porn game rabbit hole and is also the very reason why i have this account.
Original Inyouchuu animation episode 2 ( the one released like in 2007 or something like that ). Also found out my biggest fetish in NTR right off the bat which is hand-holding, like literally I'm not joking. Ironically, I never found a hotter NTR hand-holding scene than in Inyouchuu be it in hentai or doujinshi.
Edit : Also maybe hot take, but NTR hentai are trash now like since 2014. There's maybe one good release every 3 years.

Looking back at it, finding out about porn games a year before COVID was...less than ideal, let me tell you in that first year of COVID as a young adult....sheeesh man, woke up at 8:55am, joined the Teams call for my University lecture at 9am, muted that mf immediately after, and just played WoW and jerked off all day every day.
The dream, one might even say, and you'd be right, cause i was able to stop after a year so now i can think of them as like the good old days, but there was a very grim future waiting for me there had i not stopped. xd
I still have the images from when i bought a PC in 2020 cause i knew that i wouldn't be able to play Cyberpunk2077 on my old one, and so i took screenshots of all the porn games that i had on my old PC so that i would be able to download them after i was done setting everything up on my new one.

the anger at RJ01274440 is cause it's a good ntr story. you get to be the dead husband and slowly watch your wife find another man while you can't do anything at all. the other guy specifically says how he wants to make her forget you and instead focus on loving him. this kinda story really makes people angry so they just say the story is bad since it isn't a cartoon style story instead it's the one that gets under your skin.
It may be that I thought the scope of this thread included WEG stuff when it actually prob doesnt. Oops! Yeah it's all over western stuff and it just doesn't work for me at all.
Ofc female corruption is the good shit but to this day I have never played a single japanese NTR game that can fuck me up as beautifully as NTRPG2 did and I've stopped trying.

this makes me feel fucking old but there's an old hentai series called Triangle Blue that was my first initiation into the anime-porn genre too. I think even back then "NTR" wasn't a term yet, and it was just cheating (from blackmail/threat but still).
Triangle Blue is such a trainwreck, but for hentai standards back then (and maybe because I'm younger), it did manage to shake me.
People can say whatever they want about Scars but alot of games before Scars that does NTR or NTR-lite were from female POV, especially in the RPGMAKER space. Sure, there were exceptions, but none went as far as Scars in the premise and a focus with casually dropping you hidden sex scenes 1 hour into the game.
ANIM/VNs do have male pov and was a genre itself in Japan before the western actually caught even a sniff of the genre but visual novels aren't exactly interactable games and does immersion slightly different.

Scars brought me back and invested back into the genre but before Scars, it was....(since Triangle Blue is a h anime), Artificial Academy 1/2 for me lol.
I think the sandbox/create your own storylines/interpretation of that game really planted a seed in me to go into nsfw game dev and I'm almost dead certain that my entire class had a bunch of people cheating on each other for each other with each other or whatever shit I brew up in my mind.
Those were the good old days.
It was not anger that made anyone here hates it, it's just the fact this is not NTR and is pure love.
For NTR games specifically, I think my first few games were 3DCG western "NTR" games like Big Brother, The Tyrant, The Adventurous Couple, and Culture Shock. But the first proper Japanese NTR I played was probably NTRPG. God what a fucking experience.
