these two topics are kinda weird.

First kubel:
I found the game to be ok I felt it was kind of MID but certainly better than most slop, it was well written and I liked one of the endings where the cuck simply dumps the girl out cold. it was so funnny to hear her say "i did this for you"and the guy go, "k thanks bye".

Kubel was bad for me in the game play aspect. dungeon delving was hard at the begining, but a few delves in and I broke the game and made myself able to get the good ending, so I had to loose on purpose. (big personal no no for videogames) then it became about chasing the scenes, walk around here, piss here, delve 3 times to the 3rd floor to get the 3rd iteration of the corner pissing scene.

sure the scenes were well written, and the text was enjoyable to read, but unlocking the scenes was burdensome, and the way to do it was repetitive. delve the dungeon intentionally fail, go to the antagonist's house. i honesly had more fun delving than unlocking scenes.

as for the topic of the definition of NTR:
I find this hillarious. pretending one has autonomy over the definition of a word as if changing the definition in this forum will change it in all other sites.

but well I do understand them you see. I like Yaoi. but Yaoi to me is when the boy actually looks like a girl, it removes the concept of gender in the power dynamic, how the Seme uses his power and the Uke lets go of their power, it makes the domination more pure because reproduction is out of the picture. Domination is what i like about NTR.

I think if you want to have the pleasure of enjoying the yaoi you like you should definitely be able to handle going through a few posts you dont find appealing.


On Kubel:

I agree the gameplay wasn't the best, though I still prefer it over the standard RPGMaker gameplay that a lot of other NTR games have where you just have to engage with the turn based Pokemon/FF-style combat.

On the idea of difficulty I disagree. For me its the most enjoyable when a game like this (not non-h-games) gives me total control over how easy or hard it is to go through. The combat should offer some resistance that makes it tricky to get the "good" or "best" ending, but I think if it is too challenging the issue arises that if there are variations in the game, where you can decide HOW SLUTTY or HOW CORRUPTED your FMC is supposed to get and you can somewhat influence the pace at which the corruption goes I HEAVILY prefer if the difficulty is "easy" enough to let my FMC succeed or fail based on what I feel would serve the story best. And I will just suspend my disbelief and pretend that if she "didnt make it" it was her abilities not being enough. Cause my imagination of what the FMC can handle difficulty-wise is not tied to my abilities as a player or the difficulty of the game.

A good NTR is supposed to make you feel bad, and you have to feel bad for the MC, it's hard to feel that way when an NTR game has a female protagonist.

I offer you an alternative (my) perspective:

Maybe you are a sadist and enjoy the suffering of the MC and FMC and that is why you enjoy NTR. And with "you" I mean me. I enjoy that. So FMC or MC is both fine by me because corruption and (light) suffering are my bread and butter in these stories.

At the risk of my non-existent reputation, I'm going to put out an opinion that will probably have 90 percent of people roast my ass.

NTR games with only one partner/bull are mid. Most of them end up sounding like the average female drama where another guy sweeps them off their feet with their money, looks, or status. Except you're in the position of the poor shmuck who watches it happen rather than the female lead who is portraying it as a fairy tale.

NTR with multiple partners is the true debauchery.

100% agree on this. I don't play NTR games to see the FMC come out a winner, I play them to see the FMC destroy everything good in her life including her relationships. Hell, the best NTR game for me would have the FMC cuck her boyfriend and then end up in a street gutter after being thrown away by the bull(s), or sold to some foreign country's brothel.

On the "never FMC" thing, I understand the reasoning. I also agree that many NTR games that fail seemingly do so because they are FMC, and therefore fail to invoke a sense of tension or unease in the player about what's happening to her.

However, it's a mistake to think that having the FMC's status be "unknown" is the only way to create tension and unease IMO.

I've recently been playing the Rose trial version, and holy fuck, it's one of the best damn NTR games I've every played. This is despite some things that initially put me off:

• It has a mix of male and female POV, and many sections has you playing as the FMC in a two-man party with the bull
• Pretty much every male characters, including MC and the bull, look like girls
• The standing character models are animated in an off-putting way that takes some getting used to

I think there is a tendency to incorrectly assume the root cause when a game fails to have effective NTR. If the game happens to be FMC, people jump to that being the primary reason.

Fact is, most devs just don't know how to write NTR well, and maybe having a male POV can better "carry" poor writing than FMC can.
