It's tedious and there aren't that many scenes, and once you get the scenes started they never start happening on their own, you always have to trigger them in these ways.

Deliberately? I don't think so. The author made art for another game.

I agree with you, let's hope the creator continues to work on it and that we don't have to wait years to see the full game. I was only disappointed by the fact that it's just a demo :cautious::D. Are there games like this? Even untranslated ones, that you can play using Mtool

Games like that how? Do you mean limited view games with stuff happening behind your back? If so then yes quite a few, there is a thread for them.
