interesting cuz i skipped that rpgm game cuz of low rating but now your comment makes me curious,what did you enjoy about that game the most?

Well it doesn't reinvent the wheel but the art is nice, the fmc is hot, the pacing is good and the story is OK. It's got some combat but its easy and not grindy. There's 4 different paths with different types of NTR.

The negatives are that the corruption is a tad too fast for my liking and the sex scenes feel a bit static (usual RPGM problem).

I've played 2 of the paths so far and its much better than the average f95 NTR RPGM, so I don't know why the ratings are so low.

Yeah, I finished about 3/4 of that game a few months ago. It has a lot of flaws, like, a lot. But it’s actually pretty good compared to the average linear NTRPG (e.g., Scars of Summer). So much so that it might’ve changed my opinion on linear NTR games altogether. I even mentioned it in this thread before, but no one seemed to care.

Also, about the low rating issue, games like Labyrinth of Servitude and Liberation (another one with a long prologue) faced the same problem. It just proves that people focus way more on the negatives than the positives. At this point, maybe I shouldn’t take F95 ratings too seriously anymore.

For the underlined part: it's actually easy to understand if you look at this like an OS. Many get frustrated with Windows because as an OS, its job is to get out of the way of the user. However, Micro$oft decided to make an OS that do the opposite instead.

For the games though, one makes you slog through mind-numbing combat sequences. But as a porn game, or just any game with a narrative really, the combat should only serve as a way to pace out the story being told to the player. The other game overwhelms you with a long, elaborated but ultimately just a generic story upfront instead of making it succinct or breaking the story into smaller, more digestible parts. Or take Nebel, my favourite btw. And yet it suffers from the same thing: the RNG system for sex scenes, under-explained game mechanic that ruin the experience for many people in the end.

I think it's similar to the recollection room conversation a page back. Both are about game with frustrating design choices, which is a shame because there are things I like in those games and I think they deserves better rating. But when the foundations are off, the whole game suffers and people become less forgiving of the flaws.

I get it, Nebel is the reason I’m now stuck in the habit of needing MTool for every eroge RPG I play. For me, using cheats to skip tedious sections is practically mandatory in most Oriental eroge RPGs, so I can easily overlook that flaw but know that it doesn't apply to many others . As for Labyrinth’s prologue, like I mentioned in my review, I still think it’s worth playing. But I get there are valid reasons why some people might bounce off it. What I don’t fully get is how those flaws can completely overshadow the game’s strengths to the point where many people just drop a 1-2 star rating without hesitation.
