Just sharing here to let people know about this dev. The art look nice, and it's something I am genuinely looking forward to. The game will have a real-time system akin to an open world where the heroines are doing some stuff and you do your stuff. The tidbits shared in the posts and CGs are honestly hot. Lots of mystery/hidden stuff going on as well.

Are there other games with similar mechanics such as Nekotto Island? I.e where enemies can capture your girls, turn them against you, and then you have to actively try to get them back? Mainly sandboxy-style games in that case

An example of gallery padding. You only see HCGs starting from the green orb. And where the ugly bastard is clothed, there is no HCG. Also, why use the ugly bastard sprite and not the heroine? Weird.
Splitting the same scene into several parts is lame.
Skip function (CTRL) is slow and tedious with forced delays via animations.
Dev is rationing HCGs like toilet paper in 2020, then spends an entire CG on this.
This is the first HCG you get after lord knows how long—you don’t even get a HCG for the first H-scene. The heroine’s initial fall is the most important HCG in a NTR game, and the dev skipped it to give you… this.
Little variation in HCGs, nonsensical story, unlikeable heroine + ugly bastard.
I’m sorry, but even the “NTR Phone” games respect your time more than this.

The gallery padding was really so obnoxious. They have a "meanwhile" moment earlier in the game, where it shows you what's happening between the bull and heroine, but then they never use it again and you have to check the gallery to have any inkling of what's going on. The fact that the most explicit CG before that thing was just her with a bra on just goes to show how terrible the pacing is. While I like the art, with how barebones the actual gameplay is, (and buggy, something didn't trigger and i had to restart my first playthrough), I can't help but wonder where the hell all the HCGs are. If I had to look the art of them standing chest to chest get reused again I was gonna lose my mind.

Scene splitting is fine if the scene is long, and given the scene length I find the splits fine. You're right that it gives the false impression of having more scenes than it actually does. What the creator could have done is split it into sub menus. There's two in the gallery where there's sub menus to split the scenes so it's not like the creator does not know how to do it.
I like the heroine and ugly bastard, they can use further development, and the story itself is has the right length and tempo, but it fails in several crucial respects others have pointed out. The game could really benefit from having at least 10 more CGs, not counting variations. Ugly man ass CG is fine, just not the right time to use it.
Flawed game for sure, but one of the better ones recently for me.

There's many I do like, but very very few that really hits that sweet spot the same way NTRPG2 does.
