I play more harem games, but I have issues with both. So I generally go for single LI games or normal corruption games.

Most harem games have shallow LI's with terrible MC's. And usually both have subpar writing. So I go for the quantity of a harem game, before I get bored and move on, rather than the poorly done NTR games.

Not a fan of either tbh, but if I have to choose, harem all the way. I personally prefer to choose my preferred LI. In a harem, there's always 1-2 characters I do will not care for and will fast forward through their content.

As for NTR, I just don't get the appeal, and I never will.

Yeah it's a solid NTR vote. There is usually more story in it than any harem game could even conceive.

ntr is like the most mouth breathing genre of low effort and standard games. Hence why most devs stay away from it, most that do are garbage like with power vacuum where braindead writing has to take over to turn a character into a completely different person in order for cucks to get their rocks off.

There's no meaning by making me choose a love interest if I can just split a save file and come back for the other later. Harem isn't much better since all the girls are just addicted to you, but miles above NTR. Any action beforehand is now put to a grinding halt as you have to attend your harem/date/NTR. I could go download honey select if I wanted that.

The fact that this even has to be asked kills me a little inside.
Basically it comes down to being a winner, AKA having a harem of loyal women to myself, that love and respect me. Or being a looser and having said women stolen away and fucked by bigger, stronger and more dominate males, I wonder which is better.

Let's say there's 7 LIs:
Player 1 (into Romance): takes 1/7 LIs and denies the other 6 > 'NTR' other LIs may be useful.
Player 2 (into Harem): takes 5/7 LIs and denies the other 2 > 'NTR' other LIs may be useful.
Player 3 (into Harem): ketchum all 7/7 > 'NTR' technically no longer useful.

It's not about Harem or NTR unless discussing NTR overarching theme and allusions.
If everything stays in its own lane (such as NTR allusions shitting it all up), and the options are there, then it's all compatible with 2 stipulations:
1) Too many LIs drowning out Romance.
2) Male MC isn't the typical emasculated little bitch boy of all these cucklefuck Devs (ie. of NTR overarching theme) with all the other characters having their idealized forms that Male MC cannot have for whatever 'reason'.

If I have to choose I would go with harem, I'm not into dark stories nor do I like to have a pathetic MC, however that doesn't mean that I don't find some value for an avoidable NTR content in harem games, for example I kinda like to play the "alpha male" but when it's given without challenge I feel that it's so empty, on the other hand if for example there is some competition with other characters for a girl (a.k.a seduction competition) it feels like a more meaningful victory.

I don't shy away from defeat as long as my character won't become a pathetic idiot.

Harem, but just for a little. To be honest, I have problems with both. In NTR, it's offputting and emotionally disturbing (even though the concept of a rival is fascinating. I want to incorporate that in my game someday). It may sound hypocrital, coming from someone who is into humiliation (and my game is heavily into that) but I prefer to look for other ways to humiliate an NPC/MC.

I also have issues with harem, or at least the classic harem where the guys will wait for me with their asses to the air ready for me to fuck them. Without them even looking at someone else, or even asking themselves why I'm able to get laid with half of the city and they don't. Now, non-consensual harems, free-for-all fuck fests or harems where romantic feelings are excluded? I can get into that.

I'm more into deep story arcs dedicated to one love interest, instead of chasing 40 different guys where only the name and appearance changes, like pokemon.

If a player is not interested in an LI, then in my opinion this LI is free to do whatever she likes.
